Terrible Stay

The problem started at check-in. The hotel said that they had no rooms because they were sold out. They then tried to push us to their sister property, which was half the price and at an inferior location. We wasted an hour going around in circles. Eventually we refused to leave jafferji and demanded a room. They eventually gave-in and gave us a room that they said that they were holding for someone who had not paid yet. So it seems this is common practice to deny guests check-in at jafferji. The entire affair was very disturbing. As for the room itself, the bed was hard. There was no kettle in the room. There were no adapters or international plug points. The rooms, while having much charm, had no natural light. Location was good within the stone town. Breakfast was basic. Some fruit, juice, breads and eggs. Would never stay here again nor recommend it to the others.

We opted for a different room but the ac in that room wasn't working so we were shifted to a new room the next day. The new room was even more prettier y than the last but had no TV. The food is amazing although the breakfast feels like they could add a couple of more things. Other than that the food was nice and fresh. You really need to try the avacado prawn cocktail. The hotel is located right in the middle of stone Town and the walk back at night can get a little shady. Everything felt super safe though.
The rooms were really pretty.
