Modern hotel in downtown Athens

This ibis styles hotel is located on Vouliagmenis avenue equidistant from Acropolis museum and Athens metro mall. It’s very close to the Concentrix office in downtown Athens. The popular beaches like Akti Vouliagmenis or Glyfada beaches lie on the way south on this Vouliagmenis Avenue. Akropolis is walkable but you can also take the metro. The closest metro station is Aghios Ioannis (350m). There’s a flea market around this metro station on weekends which is worth checking out. The hotel has a very modern aesthetic. The rooms are spacious with ample natural light with in-room coffee making apparatus and mini-fridge. Breakfast is the only meal they were serving when I visited earlier this week but there were ample nearby restaurants and cafés where you can get takeout for lunch or dinner. Along with regular breakfast items they had traditional greek items like dolmadakia and greek yogurt. There’s a very nice garden sitting area right next to the cafe. Happy hour is between 5-7pm with 30% off on drinks. Not sure if they have a gym.

Mixed experience at ibis styles athens routes

I recently stayed at ibis styles athens routes and found the experience to be average. The hotel’s location is a definite plus, conveniently situated near key attractions in athens, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were generally friendly, but i found their attitude lacking when it came to requests, particularly with their reluctance to provide extra bottled water, which felt quite stingy. The room itself was clean but somewhat cramped, and the bed wasn’t as comfortable as i’d hoped, which affected my sleep quality. Additionally, the amenities, including the wi-fi and fitness facilities, were quite basic and didn’t fully meet my expectations. While it’s a practical choice for a short stay if you’re looking for convenience and basic services, it lacked the special touches that would make me eager to return.

I have been to ibis styles hotel previously but this experience at athens routs is currently the worst experience starting with the staff specially the staff who are at the reception which should be the good start of an experience at a hotel, they asked us to wait for 2 hours to get a room cleaned based on priority (we do understand that we came much earlier to the check in time but that’s because of our flight which was early in the morning. I just can’t understand how did they get such reviews which we booked based on them, staff disrespectful, unfriendly, un-understanding. We were asked to wait for 2 hour so we waited and now it’s been 4 hours from 9:30 am to 1 pm, with an excuse of them not having rooms cleaned not saying available but cleaned, 65 rooms which are empty and left out i cleaned leaving not just us but for the past time we have been waiting 10 other clients simply waiting for these 65 rooms to be cleaned. I would really like to management to see in to this and train the team to work on their ethics and respect to clients and be ready for any walk in-client. Literally if rates can start below one start i would have placed it for such treatment.

Not expecting this from ibis

Bed was terrible. I got backache after sleeping on it. The housekeeping staff is worst, the second day room wasn't prepped at all. While in room you can hear people walking, talking, though we were on 6th floor, could hear traffic sound, despite of a locked window. No soundproofing. Took breakfast just for one day n staff didn't care to refill the finished items. When asked they simply told, " it's over. Reception staff is good n helpful. Helped us for cabbookibg n city map.
