Exorbitantly priced for the property and service
Let me get this straight first- we had an amazing stay at Dhensa Resort. Little away from the city crowds, it is hosted on top of a mountain with pristine views from the room. Rooms are good (nothing extraordinary) and service is decent (nothing extraordinary). Why I say “nothing extraordinary” twice is because of extraordinary price paid for booking it. Our stay at other relatively inexpensive properties was far better in Bhutan which was equally set aside from the cities. Barring the price which in my opinion was 30-40 percent higher we had no problems at all. Dinner was splendid and the dance show before the dinner was a calming experience. The property is nice multilevelled hotel I would say with nice views of the valley. Dzong is 15 minutes drive away so it is rightfully away for those looking for some time off from the noise and hustle-bustle of the town. Bathroom amenities were top-notch. The staff could be a little more coordinated in my opinion. I would consider it to be a 4-star hotel stay at the 5-star resort price and for that reason and price, I can find better value for money and hence some other place would be my choice.

Overpriced accommodation far from the Town
Location far from the Town market. Limited breakfast and dinner options. Room size bit smaller than our liking. Price too high I felt.
Room size was too small for the price per night. The location is pretty far from the Town market so you are pretty much on your own when you get to the hotel. Dinner and breakfast options were limited.
