There was no air conditioner at the entire hotel. It was so hot and humid that without ac one can’t stay. So we moved out of hotel and booked another hotel.

I booked a single suite as i wanted a bathtub. A bathtub was pretty dirty even after getting it cleaned. Although it was a “suite”, the room was like a warehouse on the 4th floor without a lift, with a very few small lights on the ceiling and it was very difficult to read something at night. Staff even refused to wash a bathtab when i asked him to do so.

We searched for a heritage hotel and kantipur came as a suggestion. Location of this hotel is excatly mid of atahamel which is a perfect place to stay. All the renewed cafes and shopping places are a minute away. Good place to stay. Food is also very good. All the staffs were polite and supportive.

This is an excellent place for budget stay in Kathmandu, the only issue I experienced was driving through the bylanes to reach the place. However if you are not self-driving, not much fault can be found. The lights in the room are dim which may not be a liking to all, also they have no fans but provide table fans on request - this is completely acceptable in a place like Kathmandu. The property in itself is beautiful and gives a pristine relaxing feeling.

The staff, Kantipur Temple House and the food is good. I felt like am staying in a small mahal, fully decorated in a old fashioned darbar in nepal. Food is nice, not too many items in the menu both in breakfast and dinner. But the stay is excellent. Eco friendly Kantipur Temple House and the staff
