Poor Stay

Beds in room very high and had wheels. Was quite a task to climb up on to the bed, due to the height and instability because of the wheels. A single, highly uncomfortable chair in the room. No service in hotel for eating, except breakfast. So if you can’t go out due to weather or otherwise, you have to starve. Kept dialling reception from room but they never responded.

Room and food is average for the cost of the hotel. Reception desk staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast same everyday no change in menu which is not convincing. Room is clean and neat but old bathroom facilities.

No fuss/no drama!

As Solo traveler, have stayed at National many times, excellent location, walking distance from kings x/st pancras or russell square. Rooms standard with all what you'd expect. Good variety of choice for breakfast. Eateries and pub on site. Royal National is comfortable, no fuss, no drama, just go in, get on with it, get Around London, go out and come back to a nice room.

Did not like the stay

There was just a blanket, no warm cover in bed, blanket NOT in white cover just pure blanket. In bathroom no gel and shower gel, just soap and towels. Breakfast is poor, only butter, bread, cereals and some drinks. NOT recommended for that price. Go to Henry VIII Hotel close at Bayswater station. We were there. Much better option and free luggage storage. At Royal they charge 50 pounds per piece - complete absurd.

The breakfast was very poor, only butter and jam. One of my linen was not changed. The staff was rude and inexperienced, but still I recommending the hotel, because I find it for a good price, and the location is fine.
