Poor Stay
At the time of check-in, we had to carry our luggage to the room ourselves. Everything in the room was bad, including the facilities like phone locker and shower.

Ordinary hotel like any other low cost hotel in sub
This is definitely not a 4 star property. Average property like any other low cost hotel. Bathroom Towels - Only 2 bathroom towels were provided when I stayed with my family (2 Adult and 2 Kids). After 3-4 follow-up (From Afternoon till evening) with housekeeping I got them at night. Water Bottles - As per hotel policy only 2 water bottles (500 ml each) per person are provided. Which is very less in a country like Dubai. You need at least 2 liter water per person in a day to remain hydrated. Extra water bottles are chargeable. Finally I purchased from a local store (2 AED for 1 LTR). Room Service - If you want to eat outside food in your room and you request for plates but to my surprise they are chargeable (15 AED per plate) which is more expensive than food that you are eating. Ideally 4 start / 5 star hotels does not charge extra for Water bottles and Plates etc. Complimentary Breakfast - Even breakfast area/room is mismanaged and unorganised. Indian and Continental breakfast areas are in different location and customer need to choose any one type of breakfast. Indian Breakfast area is organized in conference room located on 1st floor which is difficult to manage specially when hotel rooms are full as most of the breakfast items gets out of stock and you have to wait for them to get refill. Continental breakfast is at ground floor. Overall Hotel management are not flexible with hospitality and treat customers like they are doing a favour. This is not a customer friendly hotel with the price you are paying.

Terrible Stay
Review of Grand Excelsior hotel Bur Dubai: This hotel is certainly on the decline. First thing that hits you is, after a long flight when you arrive at the hotel, the last thing you get from the staff is even a mere smile that doesn’t cost you anything . The staff is unwelcoming and rude. You have to wait at the lobby for a long time till they arrange check-in. Though the rooms are decent and spacious, the stuff inside seem not maintained for a long time since it is an old hotel. The most shocking thing we experienced was that they make you sign a paper telling that you will be charged 500AED for misusing the linen. If you even make a small stain on blanket or towel which can easily removed with a mild wash, they will demand 500 AED which is like ten times the price of the cloth. We hass a bus waiting for us to go to Yas island and they created a scene demanding 500AED for the linen. We missed the bus and had to wait for a long time for the next one in the dubai heat. So be very careful how you use their rooms and they are looking to grab money with the slightest of reasons. I have travelled around the world and never had an unpleasant stay as in this hotel. Book at your own risk!

Average Stay
Property is clean and staff is very professional and helpful. The rooms are good but washrooms are average and have couple of issues (water clogging, poor WC, Bathing area/shower). Location is central but not very close to any Metro station (requires atoeast 20-25 mins walk (in hot weather). It is reasonably priced hence becomes one of the most sought after options. Overall stay was satisfactory and worth the tarrif.

Average hotel with great location.
The location is very great. Hotel rooms were average, bathroom fittings and electrical fittings were not working. There was dust on furniture. Also the staff was not so welcoming, nor smiling, they maintained the staright face pattern. We made 3-4 minor request during the stay but non of them were fulfilled.

Terrible Stay
Very rude, non-courteous, never smiling staff, you feel like you have walked into a prison. Rooms were very old and unclean, bedsheets gave my wife skin allergy. First hotel we ever stayed in which asks guests to sign an agreement of 500 AED that their so called property and things in room won’t be damaged, this was never informed while booking but was forced on during check in.

Hotel Hygiene and Services not in par with 4 star Hotel Ratings
Not recommended. Services were not upto mark for a 4 star Hotel status. Housekeeping interms of washroom cleaning done on demand. and toiletries and towels not kept for the no of Guests, but only for two where as we were 3 Adults and one kid. Tonour suprise we were greeted by two big cockroaches on the 3rd day of the stay, when brought to the notice of the staff, they requested to take pics or videos of the cockroaches as if they would stay to pose for video or photographs. The cptain Mr.Hussein was polite and courteous to hear us out, but his boss Mr.Mohammad was rude and uncourteous behaviour and lacks basic courtesy extended towards guest. Highly not recommended for stay if one is expecting 4 star property experience.

Terrible Stay
It’s worst hotel service I ever found in my 18years of travel. Even room was booked for 2persons, they charged 150Dhiram extra at the time of check in of 2nd person saying that 2nd person came after 3 hours if your check in so it’s applicable, what nonsense is this I couldn’t understand. For each guest who came to meet me they charge 150Dhs additional. Breakfast buffet was also terrible .

the hotel staff is very bad they will charge you anyway by making excuses that you missued their stuff and they don't even provide facilities they have mentioned like iron towel bathrope and firstly they denied to check us in even if we pre paid it was very bad experience we had paid lot of money and it wasn't even worth it

Worst Hotel
Dusty Hotel, Behind side tables and sofas We were very disappointed with our stay due to the unprofessional behavior of the reception and housekeeping staff. We were unfairly penalized with charges for bed sheet stains that we were not responsible for. Despite our attempts to explain, the staff refused to listen or verify the facts. The housekeeping team appeared lethargic and quick to guests without any proper explanations . As tourists visiting from another country, we expected a more courteous and professional approach. This experience left a very negative impression of the hotel’s hospitality standards

Food included breakfast and dinner , however there was no Indian food in the international cuisine menu.
