Bad rooms, uncooperative staff, unresponsive MMT customer care

Very average hotel at a bad location. The worst part was the rude and uncooperative staff. First, have an untidy room, then changed to another room where AC stopped working at midnight hence disturbing our sleep. Still did not care to upgrade to a suite or give a refund for the night, rather moved us back into the 1st room which was still untidy. Overall rooms are suffocating as AC controls don't work, also housekeeping very unresponsive.

Low level economy hotel

The Mercure is a basic, low level economy hotel. The rooms are basic, offering a tiny shower, toilet and wash basin all in the same room as the bedroom. Shared areas such as the lobby, restaurant and pool are all very overcrowded. The hotel is in a cheaply built block style tower, with low ceilings. Our room did not have any view and did not get any Sun as it was in a deep courtyard. The furnishings are basic, made of cheap plastic- like materials such as particle board, but the beds are very good and comfortable. The breakfast provides only cheap foods and foul tasting tap water. The place feels so cheap that I Am glad we only stayed on night in this low level basic accommodation.
