We got an old cottage room on the first day with creaky floor. The room we got on the 2nd day was much better. The rooms had 2 very good quality heaters. Bathrooms had bathtubs. Breakfast was good.

There is no option for early check-in. The Hotel is far from the princess street which is the centre of attraction in Edinburgh. Windowless rooms are terrible and suffocating.

The rooms provided to us were very small, there was no window in the rooms to breathe fresh air and even fans were not provided. Overall the rooms were suffocating. No early check-in was allowed. After multiple requests, they allowed early check-in by 2 hours. However, with an extra charge. Beers are pretty expensive at the hotel bar.

Bad choice & stinking corridor

This was pretty choice bad choice for us. They provided us a room at the basement where there was no Mobile network or even Wi-Fi signal. Finding the allocated room in itself was a humongous task. The corridor was also stinking. Even in the allocated room, the light bulb in bathroom was not working and there was no latch in the bathroom.
