It is not a 4 star or even a 3 star hotel. It would have been a 4 star, probably 15 years back. N now it is tired, old and badly in need of refurbishing. The carpets are old and worn out. When we entered our room, it was mushy and had the smell of a room that had been closed for weeks. It is a massive hotel but you don't see many people using it. Toilets are old and just about functioning. The toilet jet spray is is just a pipe, with no spray attached. Pillows had stains formed due to prolonged use. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Old hotel with questionable cleaning

This is a hotel with old furnishings and quite old construction. The carpet and toilets are in very bad situation. Price wise cheap and near to most place in johor bahru.

Nice hotel with excellent hotel staff

Walking distance from the ferry station, lot of restaurants around, rooms are small but tidy only breakfast is not up to the mark there is a room to improve. All the hotel staff are excellent and helpful they provided a kettle moment we asked for it and was a great help for us. Check in/out was smooth.

Room is run down and fridge is not working

Room looks run down and air conditioner is noisy and does not cool down. Had issues with the refrigerator. Phone in the room was not working. I went and complained about the fridge and the front desk said they are going to replace it but no one turned up and phone was not working to call the front desk. Do not recommend.

I had a great experience at the hotel. All basic amenities are in working condition and well maintained. The rooms were pretty clean. Staff was quite friendly. Moreover hotel has just at its adjacent number of pubs and bars. It's sided by a river too. The overall ambiance is really cosy and relaxing. I give this property a 4 star rating.

Very huge hotel. For each and every thing need to walk a lot. Very old hotel but neat and tidy. View is good. Its border of Malaysia and Singapore. We can see Singapore from hotel view. No veg options in bf.

I had a great experience at the Berjaya Waterfront Hotel. All basic amenities are in working condition and well maintained. The rooms were pretty clean. Staff was quite friendly.
