The property is located at a nice spot, right next to JR station. The rooms are small - as expected. What wasn't expected was the lack of drinking water. When we inquired, the staff asked us to buy water from vending machines. Of course we could fill our bottles from the bathroom sink, but the bathroom was so unhygienic that we couldn't. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, and when we notified the front desk about the same, they simply suggested us to keep the bathroom door open for ventilation. The amenities in the hotel - like lift, microwave, etc were age old. Our room wasn't cleaned properly and the previous guests old hotel slippers were lying around in the room.

The hotel was decent. At a good location as well. Rooms were small, but that was expected. What wasn't expected was the lack of drinking water in the room. When enquired, we were redirected to paid vending machines for water and they said they don't provide daily mineral water bottles. Sure, we can fill water from the basin in the bathroom, but the bathroom wasn't hygenic enough for anyone to willingly drink water from. There was no ventilation in the bathroom. The exhaust system was non existent and when we told the hotel, they simply asked us to keep the bathroom door open so that the room AC system clears up the odor/humidity of the bathroom. Everything about the hotel was outdated, from the age old lifts to the historic microwave in the common area.

Very nice Hotel conveniently located. We were given our luggage to store even before check-in at the club room of the hotel. Good breakfast.

Affordable luxury hotel with metro infront

Ryogoku hotel is situated just infront of the ryogoku metro station and from there you could easily connect to all the major places easily. You have metro every 5 mins to all the places that you would like to reach. Disney can be easily reached from here and the best part is if your return flight is by narita airport, you have to take metro from ryogoku to fanubashi and from there take kensai line to narita airport terminal which is the easiest short route. Highly recommended. Quick tip: you have a mcdonald in front and many convenient stores at the back and few mins walk to an indian restaurant.
