Placid hotel was an extremely comfortable stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, close proximity to tram station with 15minutes ride to central area. There was a decent breakfast spread. Only realised they don’t have Air conditioning, probably because it’s usually very cold through the year. The weather was very pleasant in September, so didn’t need the AC. Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying at Placid hotel design and lifestyle in Zurich.

The owner of this charming bed and breakfast was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated after a long journey. The breakfast provided was fresh and satisfying, with a good variety of options to start the day right. The only minor issue was the sound of an animal—possibly a squirrel or similar creature—running across the roof at night, likely due to the house being close to trees. It didn’t significantly disturb the stay, but it’s something to be aware of for light sleepers.

Spacious room to accommodate three persons in one room. The bathroom was transparent, which after request had been covered by providing a translucent sheet. The reception desk person was nice but the person managing the breakfast was very rude to us.

Not a good location at all. No value for money. No aircon or fan in room and it was extremely hot outside during the day. Especially if you’re a tourist who is walking most of the times and returning to the hotel to rest and relax, it becomes very difficult to refresh. The fan they provided was too slow and hardly cooling the room. Switzerland is so expensive and we used to buy food from the supermarket and heat it in our hotel in Geneva but Placid hotel said their microwave wasn’t working and we cannot heat the food. It’s strange because they didn’t care to fix it either when they know people might be wanting to use it. Very bad service by hotel. They didn’t even clean our room properly on the second day (first day was fine).

The stay was perfect, rooms were nice and big and amenities were more than sufficient. The view was also great and connectivity as well.

Very good hotel to stay in Zurich. Infrastructure and facilities are excellent. Staff is ready yo help and hotel is located in a quite peaceful area. Placid Hotel is located in Hardbruke suburb of Zurich and is slightly far from central Zurich but Tram no.2 takes you to main city area in 15 minutes. Overall a good experience if you are willing to spend extra time in travel. The only downside is the layout of rooms is unusual. No side table next to bed and bathroom and toilet are separate. Still these are minor issues.

We night stayed there on 09. 10. 24. Room was nearly made, but was very small for accommodating 2 adults and 1 child. Breakfast was too simple, few more items should at least be added to cater to global appearance

Nestled in a cozy corner, slightly away from the touristy city center, hotel placid is a good stay option for business and well as leisure travellers. Staff is polite and helpful. They also give guest cards for complimentary access to zurich kunthaus - art museum

The hotel was located in good location. Food quality was really good. And the room small was wonderfully decorated

Room was little weird with having open basin just behind the bed. Size was also small. Paying around 18k per night was not worth it at all.

The hotel is near the tram and bus stations. The breakfast spread was decent, not a lot of vegetarian options. The hotel isnt air conditioned as mentioned on mmt

Very different experience as hotel room was fully automated and even the window is there which fully automated in case of bad weather it closes automatically. Very neat and clean room. Very helpful staff at reception. I would definitely stay here again in future.

The hotel is designed more for corporate visits than general tourists. The staff could be more professional in terms of conduct even though we were tourists. Breakfast options could be better. Might be worth checking out other options on Zurich. For a short stay, could be ok.
