About Libreville (LBV)
Situated on the Komo River, Libreville is a beautiful port. It is the capital and the largest city of Gabon. Bearing proximity with the Gulf of Guinea, the city is also a trade center for timber region. The land is characterized by tropical monsoon climate featured with a long 9 months wet season and a short 3 months dry season. The city was once inhabited by Mpongwe tribe before it was captured by French in 1839. Here the British, Germans and Americans have at one time settled their business. L'Eglise St-Michel Libreville is an amazing tourist attraction; it is an important architectural building. It has large wooden columns which are carved by a blind Gabonese man.
