Good location, helpful staff; pleasant stay!

We stayed here for 1 week in January (19th to 26th) and the stay was quite pleasant and had no issues at all. Here is a quick review of hotel on some important points. The room: The room was very nice and clean, daily serviced with replenished towels, toiletries and tea/coffee condiments. The kitchen is small but workable with basic utensils, microwave, refrigerator and electric stove. The room has central air conditioning but we hardly needed it. There is a coffee table with 2 chairs where we enjoyed morning breakfast/tea with a pleasant view of the sea water (with idle yachts). The bathroom was nice and tidy, however the shower area could have been a bit bigger. The room also has amenities like free Wi-Fi, iron, wardrobe, TV etc. The staff: The whole staff was very helpful. Mr Cyrus helped us in getting online attraction tickets as well as airport shuttle booking, he even guided us with the best possible itineraries. Another staff member (don't know her name) helped us in sorting out an electric supply issue, she took out time to visit our room personally to see if everything was okay. Our check out even at early morning 5 am was very smooth. The location: The location of the property is pretty good with the biggest advantage being Woolworths store right across the road which opens up till 12 in midnight. So, you can get anything you want from groceries, beer or a quick bite. The nearest train station is Kings cross with 7 minutes walk. We even walked from Sydney opera house to our hotel in about 40 minutes. The bus stop is just 70-80 meters from the property. Overall, a pleasant stay and definite value for money. We would surely recommend the place to others.

Our room was twin sharing, with almost no space left after putting in the two beds. The room interiors and the bedding were dated. As for the view, we had a view of another building right outside our window. Honestly, it felt like a cheap $50 lodge. Parking was $40 and I was told that it is the cheapest around the area which I agree. Although the cafes around the hotel are cool, this is very near to King's Cross which I later came to know was considered as one of the most shady parts of Sydney. The only thing I liked about the place was the lady at the reception. Extremely courteous and helpful. All in all I found it terrible in terms of value for money and no reason I would recommend it to anyone.
