Terrible Stay

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently stayed at Olalani Condotel and Resort in Da Nang and had one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever encountered. We travelled as a family of 6 with 1 infant and had booked 3 premium rooms. Here are the specific issues I faced: 1. Cleanliness: Although the rooms were clean the pools were not. Moreover there was used shower cap in one of the rooms and when we complained about it the reply was " So what?" I have not received such bad service from star even at 3 star hotels. 2. Customer Service: The staff were unhelpful and rude. When I brought the cleanliness issue to their attention, they offered no apology and acted as if I was being unreasonable for asking for basic standards of hygiene. At 10.15 PM we requested them to provide us with a bottle of water as we had exhausted what all water was provided in the rooms and we had to prepare formula milk for our infant. They right away denied and said that no service will be given after 10.00 PM. Water is a basic necessity and had it been for any adult we could have managed but we pleaded as we needed it for our baby but they had no sympathy or compassion. We are Indians and were new to the country and faced extreme difficulty in finding a cab late at night and going to a store for water. The inconvenience we faced for water is not expected and professional. It could have been a medical emergency but the staff was extremely rude and told us " go outside or go to your room, i don't want any further discussion". 3. Amenities: Several amenities advertised were either non-functional or not provided. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and the club house, gym and mostly all the restaurants apart from the buffet they provide were non functional. They had not even turned on all the lights and at night all the corridors and lobby looked gloomy and unsafe. 5. Safety: I did not feel safe in the hotel. There were security concerns as there was no visible hotel security. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Olalani and would not recommend it to anyone. There are far better options in the area that offer the basic comforts and service you would expect from a hotel at this price point.

I would rate my stay experience at 2/10. Majority of hotel facilities as provided in description do not work properly. Swimming pools were dirty with live algae. Jacuzzi in pool area are not working. Spa under maintanence. Pool / beach bar, though exist, but doesn’t work. The 3 rooms which we were provided, all of those have aircon issue. Multiple complaints, all went in vain. Menu items not available, room service not available after 9 pm, no shuttle service (as claimed in property description, breakfast spread was ok.
