Kaani Beach Hotel

The location and overall property were great — peaceful surroundings and good facilities. However, we had booked for 3 people, but on arrival, we were charged extra for one bed, which was unexpected. It would’ve been better if this was communicated clearly during booking. Apart from that, the food was good and staff were helpful.

When i arrived at the hotel. There was nobody at the reception desk. I waited around 10 minutes before i saw a staff who told me i had to walk to kani grand hotel to check in. I went to kaaba grand hotel and checked in. I was confused as to why they did not have a reception desk or check in desk at the exact hotel i am staying in instead being forced to talk to another building. The hotel room was clean and was standard. Nothing wrong with it and does the job as expected. After staying 2/4 for nights i noticed the air con keeps shutting off making me feel hot and sweaty at night time. I complained about this but nothing was done about it. Prior to the 3rd night i complained and they then sent a maintenance guy to have a look at the ac unit. He said it’s not repairable and another room was needed. I then went back to the keno grand to make the hotel aware of the situation. They then said they will move to another room for one night only and then go back to my room. I refused as i do not want to pack unpack and redo it again especially with a child. I complained the ac was not working for my first two nights and nobody did anything about it. Eventually they settled and agreed to give me another room until i check out. I was also told there was a night guard at the reception of my hotel at night time. But this was not the case. Anyone can walk in and out casually which i didn’t think was safe. There is also no lift at the hotel. The service from the lady at reception was poor. I was not compensated for the loss of use and suffering with no ac for two days. Also the wifi is atrocities at kaani beach hotel. You will be connected for a minute and if you leave your phone to one wide it will disconnect continuously. This was extremely frustrating. Every time you wanted to use your phone you had to keep entering user name and password. Also as there was no reception at the kani beach hotel, i had to walk to kaani grand hotel for any queries. I would rather just call them however in both rooms i stayed had phones that were not connected to anything therefore deemed useless. If you want somewhere to just sleep and shower. This is a good hotel. For wifi or customer service or for security this is not a good hotel.

Be careful while booking kaani hotel. There is no staff, no kitchen, no restaurant in this hotel. For small house keeping requirement like a plate, spoon you need to visit nearby kaani sea view hotel and get it by your self. There is no room service, no pool, no amenities.

I usually refrain to put my review for my stays but this one is needed for upcoming guests .. The hotel does not have room service and phone extension in the hotel .. you need to walk to another kaani chain hotel for anything you needed at 2 am in night .. I travelled as a family including my 5 months old son and got surprised that they are not giving any basic amenities and service to their guests by getting ‘3 star rating ‘ specially not even cleaning and sterilising milk bottle for my child and put inexperienced staff on front desk ( who were not entertaining the guests for resolution ) to handle their issues. Moreover the hotel put fake photos of their another beach hotel to attract guests ( sea front ) to book this properly whose visual pictures are wrong

Disgusting, one of the worst experiences in life. Room quality is good but the hotel management is terrible. The staff are extremely disgusting. Before checkin, the staff comes with a menu of day trips and convince you to the core even if the weather forecast is not good. I paid 186$ for shark snorkeling and asked if we can go in the weather. They said absolutely fine. Finally the trip a was a havoc catastrophe, with one member got bitten by shark, we had to skip all the points due to sea storm and pathetic weather. The hotel management denied their mistake and shared a peanut refund when we asked for it. Absolutely disgusting experience, wish i could have stayed with arena beach resort, unfortunately they were sold out during the dates i booked for

Worst experience after paying us. Stayed for 2 nights - no staff was available for service, reception was also shifted to a different hotel. Phone were their in room but wire was disconnected. We had booked for beach view but only coconut trees and shops were visible from the hotel. No lift inside the hotel, had to carry my luggage while check in and check out. Wi-fi speed was very poor.

Hotel was beautifully located, rooms were clean, spacious with great views. In breakfast options were plenty and delicious. Foods were sumptuous and tasty with plenty of local restaurant options available. But it didn't had a helpdesk or reception, for which we have to go to their nearby another hotel - kaani grand hotel. For breakfast also we have to go there. Other wise it was a budget friendly and good option.

We got an upgrade to kaani palm beach hotel and never got to see what kaani beach hotel was like as there was construction work going on there. One of the staff named michael(magic) was quite arrogant and kept saying that they gave us a free upgrade, like it was some favor that we requested. But otherwise, the palm hotel was good, nice facilities and very friendly restaurant staff. Our room tv didn't work for 3 days and finally got fixed after repeated follow ups. So we raised this with the manager. The breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing with good options. Overall, enjoyed the stay.

Hotel is clean. Only issue which we have is that there is no one is present on reception and from room also we are not getting any service. Otherwise we are good experience

The staff were very helpful. Especially tiger who was assisting us and the location is very good. There was a small concert at the night which me and my family enjoywd, the breakfast is very good

I have stayed here on 3rd june, 2023 for 2 days and it was a good stay as per the price band. But after checking out, the receptionist along with the manager came running to the speedboat where we almost boarded to tell that we damaged their coffee cups and charged usd 5 for it. Although the amount is insignificant, but its the way in which we got harassed was really bad. I don’t know if the housekeeping lied or the receptionist, but it does impact their brand. If they have asked for a tip, i would have paid a tip more than usd 5 so there was no need to lie for such an insignificant amount and harass us.

I had a lovely time staying at kaani beach hotel, the staff were very helpful and ensured i have everything i needed. Starting with the main reception, they provided a full brief of the services they provide. Mr. Shamim was in charge of my stay and he made sure my room was clean and all was provided as per my request. I would recommend everyone to book their stay with kaani beach hotel as per my experience.
