The hotel has a great view of the lake Windermere. We had booked the lake view rooms and it was the right choice. Surprisingly they had good vegetarian options for breakfast. The hotel has an amazing Victorian architecture feel to it, sure to transport you to the old charm English stay.

Totally run down hotel

Though I had a confirmed booking for which I had made my full payment I was told that I don't have a booking, who claimed that he is the manager there. I had to argue and fight with him before he agreed that there was a booking but he had missed seeing it. Further we were given a lousy dungeon of a room with creaking floors, peeling ceiling and even cobwebs. I gain had to fight with him the next morning to get an ok room. The hotel, though located decently is totally run down. The service of all the personnel was generally bad and topped by manager, whose attitude and service was abysmally pathetic and totally discriminatory.
