Mövenpick Petra was hands down the best place we stayed during our entire trip to Jordan — for several key reasons: 1).Location, location, location! You truly can’t beat it. The hotel is directly across from the main entrance to Petra, including the ticket office, making it the most convenient place to stay if you're visiting the site. 2).The hotel itself is beautiful. While the rooms were slightly dated, our balcony had a great view of Petra’s entrance, which was a nice bonus. The lobby, restaurants, and cafés were all lovely and well-maintained, creating a charming and welcoming atmosphere. 3).Delicious food. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of international dishes. Every meal felt like a treat. 4).Exceptional service. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. A special shout-out to the reception team at checkout — they went above and beyond for us when we misjudged how long it would take to hike to the Monastery and back. Their understanding and helpfulness were beyond anything we’ve experienced, especially compared to what we might expect back home in the U.S. The hospitality we received at Mövenpick Petra, and in Jordan as a whole, was unforgettable. The staff truly made us feel welcomed and cared for, and they’re a big reason we’re already talking about coming back!
