If you are looking for Spa to stay a few days and forget about the world this is a great place. However if you are looking for a few days exploring the island I would not recommend this hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and the restaurant is really good, the restaurant staff is great but it has no access to the beach and to reach the closest beach it is about 40 minutes driving and if you need a taxi it will cost you minimum 800 bath, which is more than you pay to go from Bangkok to Koh Chang. The night we arrived they said there was a taxi that would leave at 10 am, 12 noon and 4 pm to the pier and the beaches for 150 per person. We waited for a one hour until they told us there would be no taxi at 10, then said they could offer a car for 600 bath, than again it was 800. it was very stressful, we had just 2 days in the island and we lost a whole morning because of that.
