The fort resort was the best experience of stay for nature, valley views and the view of the himalayas. The resort is located on a hill ideal for great views and outside the khatmandu city to enjoy pure nature. With taxi and bus service you can visit bhaktapur and khatmandu within a hour. The resort is a big property filled with trees, flowers and birds, a very well landscaped place for stay. The cottages with balcony was great experience of stay everyday you sit out to enjoy nature and views. Rooms are beautiful wood and brick construction and very spacious and clean. The food was great and they have spacious dinning space with views. There are outdoor terraces to sit for experience of dinning with views. The staff is very nice and friendly guide us for long walk trials. We enjoyed the stay as we expected.

If you are looking for a peacefu stay away from the city hustle fort resort is a good option. Food cost is slightly on the higher side and being one of the expensive places in nagarkot they charged us for bottled water which i felt is unfair to the customers as water is the most basic thing that should be provided without any charges, that too the staff mentioned only on asking about them charges for water. Also please note there are no tv in the rooms. Breakfast was good.
