How to Reach the Property

Royal Island Resort & Spa offers domestic flight transfers from Male International Airport. It is a 20-minute flight and costs USD 280 per adult, USD 140 per child (2 to 11 years) , and is free for infants (up to 2 years) . Transfers are mandatory and guests have to share details of arrival and departure flights at least 48 hours prior to arrival.For same day transfers to the resort, guests must arrive at Male International Airport before 2200 hours. Transfers back to Male can be arranged only for international flights departing 0900 hours onwards.Payment has to be done directly at the property. Royal Island Resort & Spa will arrange for the transfer and share details such as pick-up point, kiosk at the airport etc.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Royal Island Resort and Spa. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Our host Noble, housekeeper Prasad, and butler Murali went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. A special thanks to Noble for not only arranging all our transfers smoothly but also surprising our kids with a thoughtful little bash—they were thrilled! He even ensured we reached the mainland safely, which we deeply appreciated. The head chef personally checked in with us every evening to make sure we had enough vegetarian options—his attention to detail made our dining experience extra special. The resort itself is serene and stunning. Our beach villa was amazing, with the sea right at our doorstep—waking up to that view was unforgettable. Overall, it was a perfect getaway, made truly memorable by the warmth and care of the staff. We felt so well taken care of and will always cherish this experience.

From the moment we stepped off the airplane, royal island and resort delivered paradise. Our beach villa was spacious and luxurious, the food at both restaurants was fantastic, and we couldn't get enough of the pool and swim-up bar. The staff went above and beyond. The service is top-notch. Highly recommended for a blissful getaway. We just missed indian veg food here, except one day when the hotel celebrated india night.

The place and stay was good though as per 4 or 5 star, i had few disappointments as stated below: - the villa given had bad quality of ac which wasn't have efficiency and the bathroom quality was not upto the standard with insects and lizards coming because of open space - the vegetarian options were very limited and mostly repeated every day - free water sports activities was always over booked to get a slot while paid services had very costly price against the time - the fly in and out service from male international airport was limited making customer either have long wait at airport or fly very early in the morning from the resort which made check in and out days wasted ( resort should provide the airlines which is used to make customer plan their flight's timing plans accordingly) - while booking via makemytrip limited free laundry and ironing services were mentioned but resort didn't provide any and asked customer to pay for any - not many indoor games were available as per the expectations and number of bookings overall it was good but not as per the price.

Everything is perfect in the island. Buffet food is different everyday and excellent. Transfer were well arranged and no wait at airport for us. All villas have direct access to beach. The whole island is well shaded with trees other than the beach. Snorkeling the house reef is ok as the corals are dead, we can see spots of re growth. Diving is great with good dive masters who know the area well.

My stay at Royal Island Resort and Spa

I had a pleasant time at this Royal Island Resort & Spa. This was my solo travel and I enjoyed a lot of different people and different culture. The Royal Island Resort & Spa staff ensured my room was immaculate on daily basis and the receptionist was very friendly and also extremely helpful I had a really great time over there.
