Location of the property was excellent. Some extra amenities would be appreciated like a kettle for coffee etc. Also only 2 water bottles were provided on first day then we had to purchase. Otherwise the ac and room was comfortable.

My mother and i stayed here for three nights last week. The location of this hotel is just fantastic ! its right on the piazza republica, and has witnessed many historic events. The vintage photographs that are displayed in the lounge, transport you back to that era. The lounge has antique furniture and has this quaint european ambience. There are so many coffee table books on florence and italy, but unfortunately they are all not in english. The breakfast room is sitting right on top of the arch of the republic a square and that is really fascinating. The breakfast spread is limited but sufficient. This is more like a boutique hotel and the people are very warm and friendly, it almost felt like staying with a family. The furniture in the room was antique too, but sometimes that can be less utilitarian. The mini bar was occupying most of the space in the wardrobe and the bedside tables were too small. The drawers had cobwebs, we couldn't use any storage. They can do with a bit of modernization of the room interiors and give more storage space. All in all, wonderful place, highly recommend it.

This is a hotel for which the location is absolutely fantastic. Everything is walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean. Only one concern, they don't offer a hot water kettle (like most European hotels).
