The Hotel Tanne is in the outskirts of Bansko town wish is only 1. 5 - 2 hours drive from Sofia. It is old but clean. It has a very nice garden with children playground. The spa is fine although the water in the swimming pool is not very warm. In the rooms are provided gowns for the spa. We were accommodated in an apartment which had 2 rooms, a toilet and bathroom. It didn't had reconditioning and although we visited the Hotel Tanne in August, it was OK. We slept very well. The room had a fireplace for the colder months. It can be very romantic to stay near the burring fire. The room had mini fridge and TV, table chairs. There was free Wi-Fi around the Hotel Tanne. The breakfast was basic but it was OK to help start the day. We had cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs, different types of bread, fruits, etc. The people working in the Hotel Tanne were very helpful which made our holiday great. The Hotel Tanne is very close (6 km) to Dobrinishte town where is a very nice Spa complex with hot mineral water. It is called Alpha Spa. The water is used as medicine. It was very crowded. It had a big warm swimming pool with a bar and 2 small pools. One for adults like Jacuzzi. The other is for kids. 10-15 km from the Hotel Tanne is Ribarnika restaurant. There you can fish the dinner yourself. After that they serve you what you had caught and the kids loved it.

The Hotel Tanne has a fantastic alpine atmosphere. Breakfast was poor and co responding to the Hotel Tanne. Pool was cold, but clean. Perfect location with a lot of parking available. Garden was fantastic and is child friendly. The restaurant was not expensive and with good food.

For some reason the Hotel Tanne could not accept us. But their manager handled the situation professionally and we found ourselves in another very good Hotel Tanne with no less amenities. Than we had expected when we had booked the original one. We loved our stay there.
