⭐ 0.5 / 5 – The Worst Hotel Experience Ever I have travelled and stayed in many hotels, but Summerland Hotel Sharjah was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything went downhill. The front desk staff, especially one Kerala guy, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of welcoming guests, they were busy questioning personal matters — asking “Why did you come to UAE?”, “Why are you staying here?”, and even “What is your relationship with your guest?” — completely unacceptable and disrespectful behavior for any hospitality service. They even held IDs “for security reasons”, refused to allow guests to enter the premises, and kept interrogating about luggage and room occupancy. I’ve never seen a hotel deny entry to visitors or restrict three people from staying together in a booked room. The rooms are poorly maintained, beds uncomfortable, and there’s no housekeeping or cleaning service at all. The staff provided no proper information or assistance, and overall the place felt unsafe and unwelcoming. For the price they charge, it’s absolutely not worth it. The service, attitude, and conditions are far below even a budget hostel’s standard. To make things worse, during checkout, I went to reception just to request a little help to pack my luggage — instead of assisting, they created unnecessary problems and rudely gave me only 10 minutes to leave the room, showing zero respect or understanding. If you value comfort, respect, and basic hospitality, avoid this hotel at all costs.

It was one of the worst experiences i had passed on. Especially the reception team, a careless and non-professional. The room doesn't have basics, even telephone also ac you should s with it on or off from the main electric box. The room services team was friendly. Otherwise, unsatisfied staying. Also, i'm not happy to book via makemytrip, you give me this summerland and it wasn't good. Also, you didn't protect me

The hotel location was good, the staff were ok, did not understand arabic, my guest had a hard time communicating with them in arabic (did not know english. He tried the food but did not like it (biryani w chicken. The room was comfortable and clean, and big enough. Had one each of plate, mug, tall glass, also a microwave, an electric kettle and good size refrigerator and a tv (all working. They need to explain to guests that the hot water needs the switch to be turned on (located outside the bathroom. The guests were all russians (we liked it. The staff were consistent and tried to accommodate our requests (coffee & sugar, little shampoo bottles. The parking was adequate inside the entrance. The hotel sign was readily seen from the street. The value for the money was perfect. I needed a budget place and this was adequate. All this made me give them 4 and not 2 or 3.
