Worst Hotel Experience – Feels Like a Scam

I have no idea how Aloft Novena dares to charge these prices for what they provide. The rooms are TINY not “compact” or “cozy” tiny, but claustrophobic box tiny. There’s not even space to properly open and keep luggage bags you literally have to step over them to move around. There’s no air-conditioning in the corridors, so every time you step out of your room, you’re hit with a wave of heat. But the real insult? The room AC is controlled by the hotel not by guests who actually paid to stay there. They turn it off or choke the airflow at night to save on electricity. I woke up drenched in sweat at 6 am, called reception, and magically the AC was “working” again within five minutes. Translation: they were cutting it on purpose. Temperature is locked at 21°C, and if you dare to ask them to make it cooler, it becomes some ridiculous drama. This same thing happened my first night, but I let it go. Second night I complained, and suddenly I’m offered free breakfast clearly a bribe so I don’t post an honest review. Housekeeping is equally unprofessional. The moment you call for anything, they come and slam the doorbell repeatedly without even considering that a guest could be in the washroom or resting. This is cheap, shameless, and disrespectful management that treats tired paying guests like nothing more than walking wallets. My stay here was miserable from start to finish.

This property is located around 1 km from novena mart station. The hotel is alongside a zhongshan mall where there are a lot of eat outs, also 7/11 super market. It also has foreign currency exchange atm. The hotel has mart drop / pickup every half an hour from morning to evening 7. 30. Talking about the hotel, i am surprised at the low quality of front office they have employed who didn't even know an atm existed next door in the mall. Front office card swipe machine is like a decade old and don't work most of the time. The food is highly expensive and not worth the money. Room service take hours to deliver a simple bottle of water. The room is extremely small.

Had a wonderful stay at aloft ! pros : located in a quite n beautiful place, novena. Every 20 min shuttle bus to mrt. Awesome breakfast. Excellent staff behavior. Room and washroom are clean. Cons: the hotel has 2 wings, around 50 m apart. The west wing has swimming pool and gym. East wing doesn't. There's no room service in either of the wings. Actually not necessary as there's a good restaurant in ground floor and the property is attached to a small mall, with mc donald's, starbucks n subway, few pubs too ! overall we had a wonderful stay !

1. 1. 5. My stay at double tree by hilton was very good as i had no additional issues at the property or any kind of trouble by the staff regarding my booking. But both my other stays at aloft langkawi and singapore i had so many additional charges made by the hotel additional to what extra charges were mentioned on my booking receipt and was denied the room if i did not pay

There was no in room service which is the biggest disappointment. Breakfast was bad. The room provided had faulty switches & i had to ask for a change. So overall it was a terrible stay.

Excellent stay. There are 2 wings east and west separated by 50 meter distance. The rooms were nice and the service was fantastic. Indian breakfast is available in breakfast buffet. Close by indian restaurants and one just behind west wing. 7 by 11 next to hotel and few other stores in mall next to hotel. Definitely recommend for family vacation

Breakfast was amazing with sufficient vegetarian options considering we are in singapore 😉 Aloft is next to a shopping mall which is very convenient. the only negative I'll highlight is their restaurants closes at 11pm and impossible to order food. in room dining should be 24x7 for a 4+ star hotel.

Hotel is good, but mm t team in india no support at all i called 5 times had to talk 15 minutes each or more ! after 3 days they had no records, 3rd day evening i called again now finally they said it’s not possible. It’s such an awful situation for a regular customer like me, i book a lot from mmt, i might to switch now another portal soon ! so bad customer service at mm t

Excellent Stay

Very nice hotel, comfortable stay, clean and hygenic, room size was perfect. Indian vegetarian food was available in breakfast buffet. They had a free shuttle service to nearest station. Also this hotel was near to all main tourist spots. Overall very comfortable and happy stay.

Had a wonderful stay at aloft ! pros : located in a quite n beautiful place, novena. Every 20 min shuttle bus to mrt. Awesome breakfast. Excellent staff behavior. Room and washroom are clean. Cons: the Aloft Singapore Novena by Marriott has 2 wings, around 50 m apart. The west wing has swimming pool and gym. East wing doesn't. There's no room service in either of the wings. Actually not necessary as there's a good restaurant in ground floor and the property is attached to a small mall, with mc donald's, starbucks n subway, few pubs too ! overall we had a wonderful stay !

Excellent stay. There are 2 wings east and west separated by 50 meter distance. The rooms were nice and the service was fantastic. Indian breakfast is available in breakfast buffet. Close by indian restaurants and one just behind west wing. 7 by 11 next to Aloft Singapore Novena by Marriott and few other stores in mall next to Aloft Singapore Novena by Marriott. Definitely recommend for family vacation
