One of the most fantastic resorts I have ever been to. Munduk is an offbeat place in Bali and is an hour and a half drive from everything hustle-bustle in Bali. But the Long drive is worth every single bit of it. Munduk Moding is a coffee plantation and they have made a resort out of it. The resort with its very entrance, seems so cozy and comfortable. To maintain the ecology, the entire resort is completely covered in greenery. Also, no vehicles are allowed inside the premises apart from the parking area. Golf buggies are used for internal movements. Landscaped gardens, green tunnels, flora and fauna welcome you inside. At the reception, you get a fantastic and soothing lemon grass coffee. We stayed at the garden suite. The suite left us absolutely in awe. The magnetic view from the bedroom is going be etched in my mind for a long time to come. The gigantic washroom is a major plus in the suite. The 4-post bed is very comfortable and sleep- friendly. Coming to the premises, the infinity swimming pool (s) is what brought us here in the first place. The 180 meter long pool gives sweeping views of the valley and beyond. There is a small ledge on the extreme part of the pool where you can stand and take some breathtaking pictures for your Instagram feed. These photos are surely going to grab eye balls. There are 2 such infinity pools. There is also a hot tub/Jacuzzi in between these two pools. You can spend hours in the pool with the clouds covering the Plantation. If you are lucky enough, then maybe you can catch a spectacular sunset view. We had pre-booked a photo shoot with the resort for us. The photos turned out to be awesome. One word of appreciation for the hotel staff. They are always on their toes and always (always) greet you with a smile. They are ready to help in any ways possible. Absolutely fabulous service. The food is not that great though, given the prices charged. It could have been better. The Bebek Goreh (crispy duck) was crispy but not juicy. It tasted bland. I liked the Moding soto (chicken noodle soup) and Margarita pizza. The pasta could have been a little creamer. The property is fantastic. I loved every tiny bit of it. The people. The infrastructure. The cleanliness. The aura. The pools. Everything. Maximum ratings to this place and immense respect to the creators and management.
