Disappointing stay!

Our stay at gizis exclusive in santorini was extremely disappointing. Despite the beautiful photos , the reality was far from what we expected. Upon arrival, we found ants in our room, including on the bed. The lighting was very dim, and some lights didn’t work at all, making the room feel gloomy. The journey to our room involved climbing numerous stairs, and with no assistance offered for our luggage, it was quite a struggle. We both almost got cramps in our backs from carrying our bags up the steep steps. Even basic amenities were lacking. For an extra water bottle, we had to go all the way to the reception as there was no room service. We booked a superior room, but were given a standard one. When we raised this issue, one staff member admitted it was a standard room, while another insisted it was superior. This inconsistency, along with the overall poor service, left us feeling quite discriminated against. The only redeeming feature was the view of the caldera, which is a common advantage among most hotels in santorini. Given our experience, we would not recommend gizis exclusive. The view alone is not enough to make up for the numerous inconveniences and poor service.

Loved everything about our stay at Gizis Exclusive. Room were great. Very spacious and clean and with all amenities. It was very thoughtful of them to keep plates, knives, forks, honey and jams for us so that we can enjoy our own food in room too. Also view was great and unobstructed. Location was also great for us. Manager of hotel helped us book catamaran boat tour and he also gave us some fabulous restaurant choices Around for dinner. He also gave us tips on tourist places to go, to avoid, helped us with car rental too. Rena who was restaurant staff cooked us lovely breakfast and keeping in mind we were vegetarians kept good big menu for us in morning. All in all we had a great and perfectly lovely stay here.
