Rovaniemi is a pretty small Town and even then, Arctic City Hotel is very well located. All the restaurants, shopping areas as well as activity providers are within a 3-minute walk. This is very important in the winter especially when temperatures drop down to 29 deg Celsuis (real feel). The hotel has a really good bar in the basement, and we ate there more than once. The breakfast was very unimpressive. The eggs didn't taste right. But the sausages, meats, croissants and fresh veggies were ok. We didn't really enjoy anything else, so we didn't bother eating breakfast there after that. We went to the Falafel place diagonally opposite once and the mexican restaurant one street over. But otherwise, the room is comfortable and decently spacious. The bathroom is a bit small but it is equipped with all toiletries.
There was no thermostat to change the temperature to be comfortable. It would get uncomfortably warm in the middle of the night and we'd end up sweating.
