Our 4th visit to Maldives and 1st time at this hotel While the service and staff were excellent, the property itself has some major infrastructure drawbacks that make it hard to recommend. Cons (where the hotel fell short): No Swimming Pool – hard to believe for a resort marketed as 5-star. No wave breaker walls – the ocean is rough and wavy, with very little sea life to enjoy while swimming. Room location – ours were stuck between a wall of tall trees, making it feel dark and claustrophobic. Extra charges for basics – no snorkel gear included (something every other Maldives 5-star provides), early check-in/late check-out even if available is charged, and even at breakfast, basic coffee was terrible while decent coffee came only at an extra cost!! Overall, the property seems designed to make guests spend more at every turn, which leaves a poor impression. Pros (where they did well): Food was fantastic – fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. Service staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Servers went out of their way to make us comfortable. Overall: The team on the ground does their best, but the rules from management and the lack of proper infrastructure spoil the experience. Sadly, we wouldn’t return to this property, especially when there are so many better Maldives options that deliver true value at the 5-star level.

The Sunsrise Beach Pool Villa was amazing. The service by all the staff was very courteous and they all made us feel at home. Magnificent property very close to the Velana International Airport.Loved our first undersea dive and their sporting activities are amazing. Must try.

Great island resort, good food and well behaved staff. Pros. Exceptional views well maintained grand spread on buffet just 15minutes by speed boat from velana airport cons if you don't take the package with breakfast lunch and dinner, a meal for 2 could set you back by nearly 100usd or more. You will have to book their 3 hours package if you want to visit male city including transfers and guide. This is subject to minimum number of guests and costs about 60usd per head. So you could be stuck on the island if you don't book their curated trips. Please remember this is over and above the 85 usd for return transfer per head on arrival and departure days. If you want to leave the island on your own, you have to book their speed boat @ 400usd for 3 hours. If you are the exploring kind be prepared to shell out usd for water activities and transfers. Else if you just want to enjoy the sun and waves laze around then it's the most ideal place.

It's an excellent place to live for at least 4 to 5 days and marvelous experience. I had a long with water activities and moving around in the island. It's just a peaceful place to stay and explore yourself. It was breath taking experience. The staff is too caring and helpful. Food is superb. Do choose all inclusive package. The property is close enough to the airport and the food is exceptional (i recommend get the all inclusive package if you like alcohol) and of course the beach and the ocean is great. The good things stop there. There is nothing on this island which you cannot get on a local island (maafushi is a great place to stay) and you will be attending a dance night with 2-4 eople dancing. The island is really a snooze fest if you like a night life. There is absolutely no nightlife (unlike maafushi)

Very nice rooms and pretty resort. Buffet has very limited veg options for Indian taste. Its expensive but i guess thats how Maldives is in general.

I booked an all inclusive deal which turned out to be a savior as we travel-led with our family. The food was good and best part was it is close to the airport and city.

It was an amazing experience. We had a sunrise private pool with private beach access villa, the most luxurious stay ever had. Also the Malahini Kuda Bandos Maldives staff gave us complementary upgrade to the private villa for the other days.
