    Comfortable Stay but Bathroom Needs Improvement

    The dorm bed and room were comfortable and well-arranged, providing a pleasant stay overall. However, the bathroom was not very clean and definitely needs better maintenance. I would rate the bathroom 3/10, as more effort is needed to keep it neat and hygienic. Apart from that, the bed and room experience were good.

    1/5 – I Saw Hell at MG Pods @ Bukit Bintang!

    I’ve stayed in many hostels during my travels, but this one was by far the worst experience ever. Here’s why: Too many dorms, too few bathrooms. There are more than 50 dorms, but only 3 bathrooms. You literally have to stand in a queue just to use the toilet or take a shower. Completely unacceptable for this size of a hostel. Bedbugs everywhere. My sleep was ruined, and I had to take medicine after staying here. Imagine waking up at night with bites all over your body — that’s what happened to me. Rude cleaning staff. The cleaner comes every day at 4 AM, switches on all the lights, and starts cleaning noisily. No respect for sleeping guests. When I tried to explain, he was rude and careless. Because of this, sleep is impossible here. Dirty facilities. The washrooms are disgustingly dirty — the floor, toilets, and basins are never cleaned properly. It smells bad all day. AC not working and no help. On my second day, the air conditioner broke down. One staff member (a local Malaysian Tamil guy) was kind and helpful, but the other staff completely ignored the issue and didn’t even provide a fan. You can imagine how unbearable that is in Kuala Lumpur’s heat! Noisy and inconsiderate guests. Most of the other guests (mainly North Indians) had zero dorm manners — playing reels loudly without headphones, talking at midnight, even doing video calls half-dressed. No hostel discipline at all. You can save a bit of money, yes — but you’ll lose your sleep, comfort, and health here. This place is not worth even a single night. 👉 Moral: Cheap doesn’t mean good. I came to rest — but I SAW HELL.

    Excellent Stay

    The place is nice. but every pod needs a ventilation hole or some kinda airflow inside. the internet wifi sucks as it is very unreliable. otherwise it was a wonderful experience staying there and I will go there again.

    Very near to food street. Hostel is clean and neat. Perfect for solo travelers there are few cooking options in the hostel
