Matcha Samui Resort

Just a little far from happening place but a 15 minute walk should get you there.

We traveled as a couple in December 2014 for about 5 days. Location: The hotel is nicely located on the busy and happening Chaweng Road. Revelation- 2 separate hotels in the same name: The start was a shock as this resort operates two totally different hotels (Lake View and Ocean View) on opposite sides of the road. Hospitality: Staff was not very well versed in English but hospitable enough. We had to change through 2 rooms (1 with only trees for view and other with AC not working) but they did that with a smile. Housekeeping staff behaved strange at times, refusing to part with even a single extra sugar sachet. Restaurant: It was excellent with some nice food served (Lots of things available for breakfast but no change of menu ever). The Ocean View resort has its on restaurant and shack area on the Chaweng beach side. Rooms were adequately clean. Overall: the experience was not bad but there are many more resorts which will give better experience and more value for money; that too just adjacent to this resort. P.S. Wifi internet was a big problem most of the time.
