Beautiful location, enjoyable stay

Lumbini buddha garden resort is a beautiful looking resort in lumbini, nepal. The place is around 30 mins drive from the indo-nepal border at sonauli. Upon reaching we were greeted with a welcome drink. All staff members took very good care of us throughout our stay. The manager, mr. Vishal, helped us with arranging a car that picked us from the border and took us to the Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort, and again when we needed a car while returning to india. He kept checking on all things and ensured we were not facing any hassle during our stay. Promila guru at the reception desk addressed most of our requirements and was present almost at all times. The other person at the reception, promila thenot, also looked into things we needed. Mr. Sharma at the resort's in-house restaurant is very helpful and arranged things as needed. A special mention for ishan from the restaurant team. He is very smart and understands customer requirements very quickly. What we liked about this resort: 1. Location and beautiful ambience, set amid-st lush greenery 2. Staff behavior 3. Rooms were spacious and had most amenities 4. The resort arranged for all transportation and we didn't have to pay anywhere else other than the resort, and they accepted indian currency. Improvement areas: 1. Since the rooms are amid-st greenery, there are lots of insects in the room 2. In-room telephone was not working and it wasn't fixed during our stay despite reporting about it. 3. You need to walk for 2-3 mins amid-st greenery and woods to reach your rooms, and this stretch does not have enough light. 4. Given the location of the rooms, it is important to have night guards patrolling the area. 5. Food options during breakfast and other meals are adequate, but quality of cooking can improve. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and i will look forward to staying here if i visit lumbini again.
