I traveled solo as a female for a conference, and I couldn't be more comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful, they understand English and as a foreign traveled you can ask them for directions around the city. The location is very near the river and walk able from the metro Station. This is very good as travelling through the metro should take you everywhere in the city on a very affordable rate. The location is right on the main road, yet the rooms were silent and peaceful. The main crossroad the near the hotel intersects with a walking only high end market making shopping very easy. The rooms were clean and well-furnished, equipped with everything one might need. PS, the rooms provide free aerated drinks which is a big help for someone who is a pure vegetarian and is planning to live off fruits and vegetables and home-made rotis.

Very cooperative staff and cozy rooms. I got an upgrade. The girl at reception - Lu ke Han was extremely helpful also the other staff. I was staying with family. Very close to Bund, People Square and Metro subway East Nanjing Rd.
