Firstly, i love that this hotel is located in one of the best streets in montreal - peel street. I've been telling friends that this is the posh place that they should stay whilst in montreal. Since i'm already familiar with best western, this stay isn't really new. There's a bus stop across the hotel and it's a few minutes walking distance to the gar central e or the old town. But since there are many sites surrounding, and the city's public transport also allows unlimited ride tickets, then it's better to use the bus if you're on vacation and not driving. It's also near the base of mount royal so you can hike to the top early in the morning or at sunset. The hotel is also beside mcgill university, so it's a lively street of youngsters and on the other side, you have the golden square mile. There are many restaurants surrounding the blocks on all sides. There are no bystanders until you get to near at-water where there are more people and more restaurants. The hotel location is safe especially for walking solo at night. The hotel doors are automatic so it's not a hassle especially if you're carrying heavy items. There's also a restaurant on the building ground floor if you're too lazy to venture out. I'd recommend this property and will come back if there's a chance.
