Location is good. As I was staying with my family of 4 persons & booked two rooms. At check in I requested for adjacent rooms they gave me rooms far away of each other. Person at front desk told me to pay extra for adjacent rooms. After repeated requests they gave adjacent rooms after 2 days. At booking I requested for early check in but they refused although rooms were ready & available inspite of available rooms at that time hotel charged me USD 100 for early checkin.

I’ve been travel-ling since last more than 25 years and have had both good and bad experience as far as accommodation is concerned and i can safely say that new york hilt-on mi-drown tops the list of being the worst stay ever. The first day i got locked inside the bathroom as i realized that there was no handle from the inside and it was a near death experience. I had to pull down the clothes hanging hook on the door and totally gods hand that i somehow managed to open the door, i complained to the hotel and it took 25 mins for someone to come to the room to attend to this serious problem, i hurt my hand as i kept banging the door but no one could hear me. They then changed the room and in that room the hairdryer was faulty gave an electric shock. Till the time of checking out no one came to attend to the hair dryer issue. The rooms were dilapidated, no water bottles in the room, we have to call every day to get water bottles and even on a standing instructions to provide water bottles they could not do it. The staff at the reception at the bell desk were outright rude to the point of misbehaving we had 2 more rooms as i was on a business trip with some of my other colleagues. One of our colleagues is staying for 10 days and when we went to the reception to complain the duty manager, a lady simply said that if we are unhappy with hotel then we can cancel our stay and she could amend our booking. The lady emphatically said that they had 2000 rooms and that they cannot keep everyone happy as per their wishes the 3rd room had torn pillow covers, toilet flush was not working. I was an outright disaster.

The location of this hotel is the major benefit of booking this one, it is very close to the major attractions of new york and makes it very easy for commutes. The hotel is also neat and clean but little squeezy for more than 2 people in a room.

Should you stay at new york hilt-on midtown?

New york hilt-on midtown is a very nice, comfortable hotel in a great location. Rooms are quite spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are fine too. Staff are quite helpful and given the proximity to subway, it is easy to get around wherever you need to in manhattan and beyond. But i wish there were some basic amenities. Hilt-on doesn't provide drinking water, hot water kettle or coffee/tea. The restaurants are adequate but overpriced. The food trucks outside are a better option to get coffee and food. Breakfast buffet is not included in the room rent and although we were given a $35 per day food voucher, i am dreading to see what hidden costs and charges might be there when we check out. Apparently, there is some fee if luggage is to be left at the concierge after checking out of the hotel. Would i stay here again? probably, given the locational advantages. If some other hotel offers a better price, i wouldn't mind switching either.

The location of the hotel in mid town is very convenient. It's a walking distance to most office buildings in the area, as well as for shopping, dining etc. The rooms are large, spacious and clean. Bathroom amenities are average. Housekeeping service is efficient. However the property is very large and the service is impersonal. Check-in and check-out queues are long and the process can take time.

Should you stay at new york hilt-on midtown?

New york hilt-on midtown is a very nice, comfortable New York Hilton Midtown in a great location. Rooms are quite spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are fine too. Staff are quite helpful and given the proximity to subway, it is easy to get around wherever you need to in manhattan and beyond. But i wish there were some basic amenities. Hilt-on doesn't provide drinking water, hot water kettle or coffee/tea. The restaurants are adequate but overpriced. The food trucks outside are a better option to get coffee and food. Breakfast buffet is not included in the room rent and although we were given a $35 per day food voucher, i am dreading to see what hidden costs and charges might be there when we check out. Apparently, there is some fee if luggage is to be left at the concierge after checking out of the New York Hilton Midtown. Would i stay here again? probably, given the locational advantages. If some other New York Hilton Midtown offers a better price, i wouldn't mind switching either.

Good location, above average hotel

The location of the New York Hilton Midtown in mid town is very convenient. It's a walking distance to most office buildings in the area, as well as for shopping, dining etc. The rooms are large, spacious and clean. Bathroom amenities are average. Housekeeping service is efficient. However the property is very large and the service is impersonal. Check-in and check-out queues are long and the process can take time.

Best location. Just a few blocks away from times square. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.

Not Worth for the money

Not Worth for the money, facilities not good. Basic things not fulfilled, but good location for the tourist.

The location of this New York Hilton Midtown is the major benefit of booking this one, it is very close to the major attractions of new york and makes it very easy for commutes. The New York Hilton Midtown is also neat and clean but little squeezy for more than 2 people in a room.
