Good but can be great

Superb location, one of the best in the city with walking distance from major shopping area and the waterfront that S'pore is known for. Very polite staff. Excellent quality of fixtures and fittings, bedding and modern inside decor throughout the hotel. However, the hotel's breakfast and room service menu barely has any hot vegetarian menu. At breakfast, you get only one sad-looking veg Indian dish option in addition to eggs. Absolutely nothing else. So one has to resort to toast, croissants, cereal for non-meat options. Even the room menu just has panini and 1 pasta dish which are veg. We paid 5-star rates of approx high in INR including breakfast and taxes and for this amount, there should be a lavish spread of breakfast and room service for vegetarians as well. If one paid so much at Taj group of hotels, one could live like a king. Also, the classic rooms are extremely small a lot of them do not even have a view, you can see only other room windows from your own, which was shocking. This must be clearly mentioned while booking the room, we felt quite short-changed for these reasons. Highly recommended for the location but not for room size and food.
