About Aerosvit Airlines
A private carrier based in Ukraine, AeroSvit Airlines was established in March 1994 with its hub at Boryspil International Airport. What started off in cooperation with Air Ukraine went on to become one of the largest airlines in the country; serving a vast network 80 international routes across Asia, Europe and North America. However, recently, the airlines had to axe down most of its international flights including those operating within Europe due to financial problems. Passenger carriages between Ukrainian cities continue to operate though. Counted among the youngest airlines in the country, AeroSvit Airlines holds the membership of several global organisations including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Association of European Airlines (AEA). Moreover, AeroSvit has code-share and interline agreements with over 20 international airlines, which makes it one of the largest service providers of all Ukrainian carriers. In addition to scheduled flights, the airline also provides non-scheduled or charter services worldwide for its customers. AeroSvit Airlines had two subsidiaries namely Dniproavia based in Dnipropetrovsk and Donbassaero headquartered in Donetsk. Both these AeroSvit offshoots ceased operations this year only in January. Presently, this Ukraine-based airline is working on active route network expansion
