Review Of Uday Backwater Resort

The stay was pleasant. Amenities were good. Staff were friendly. However the food was not that good. The chapathi was stale, the appam was sour (when asked they said the batter was prepared yesterday and used today). I expect a resort claiming to be 5-star, should serve fresh food.

Nice heritage place! Staff is supporting. Stay was nice except the power cut which takes few seconds for switching on and off to generator, Internet also gets unstable then. Rest all was good, speed boating, pool facility was great. Thank you!

Wonderful location, food, stay amenities. Very courteous and polite staff. A great place for vacation. Will surely recommend to our near and dear ones.

Room was spacious and maintained clean with old touch, with big swimming pool. Nice back water view. But, buffet was costly with limited choice and not so special items.

Very neat and clean property. Smiling and decent staff. Good and tasty food with perfect service. But a few points I wish to mention for more improvisation 1) Please check mattresses, they are old now. 2) Being in Kerala but no Filter Coffee. 3) Alcohol should be available.

The resort is beside the backwater and the property was maintained very well. From the property, we can go for Shikara ride, kayaking, and there is a nice swimming pool with a view of the backwater, and there is a spa and indoor gym. We can even enjoy with pet animals. So overall, the property is very good.

The location, food, and overall ambience were too good. They had a small farm setup with exotic birds and some very good dog breeds.

Excellent stay at Uday Backwater Resort. Beautiful backwater views, peaceful atmosphere, and very courteous staff. Meeting Ema- Emu and other birds that are part of the hotel family was fun and made the experience even more special.

The stay was pleasant. They have a beautiful surrounding atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful (especially Kavya). The spa was also calming and nice. I hope to be back for a longer visit.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The swimming pool was great, and the overall cleanliness of the property was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight for us — there was a wide variety of options, and everything tasted delicious. The backwaters view was absolutely beautiful, and watching the sunrise was a memorable experience. One unique and lovely part of our stay was seeing the friendly Emo bird around the property, which added a special charm. The staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place we would happily recommend to others.

The property is awesome. It has amazing views and the rooms are also nice. The food is apt and prepared keeping one’s individual taste in mind. The location is off beat and if you wish to visit a quiet serene place this one is definitely recommended.

Uday Backwater Resort offers a pleasant and peaceful ambience, especially for nature lovers. The resort surroundings are lively with various birds such as ducks, ostriches, red-headed coots, and many others, which adds a unique charm to the overall experience. The rooms are quite old, but they are reasonably well maintained and comfortable enough for a relaxed stay. One concern we faced was a foul smell in the bathroom, which was promptly addressed after informing housekeeping. They resolved the issue using a spray, and the response was quick. The dinner was average—acceptable but nothing exceptional. However, the highlight of the property is its beautiful location right in front of Vembanad Lake, offering serene views and a calm atmosphere. Overall, it’s a nice resort for a calm, nature-filled stay, especially for families with kids who enjoy open spaces and water activities

We had a very pleasant stay at this property in Alleppey. The location is beautiful, right by the riverside, and the view was truly relaxing and scenic. The staff was cooperative and helpful throughout our stay. The only area that needs improvement is the washrooms, as they require some upgradation and had a slight smell. Overall, it was a good experience and we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. A special mention to Mr. Paul — he was extremely kind, cooperative, and supportive. He helped us in every possible way, especially with arranging the shikara ride. Truly a very nice and helpful person. Would definitely recommend this property for its location, view, and hospitality.
