Recently, I stayed at WindFlower Resort and Spa, Mysore with my family for a leisure trip. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, which was a good start to our stay.
However, the overall experience was disappointing. The property is not well maintained. Many of the recreational amenities were either broken or unusable—for example, the badminton rackets were broken and the basketball was punctured.
We had booked a Suite, which was spacious, but cleanliness and maintenance were major concerns. The walls were dirty, and some of the water taps were broken, which is unacceptable for a property of this category.
The food was average—not bad, but not particularly good either. It did not stand out or justify the pricing.
The biggest issue during our stay was the extremely loud music from two separate events being held in adjacent properties. The noise was so loud that even after closing all doors and windows, we could barely hear each other speak, let alone watch TV. It felt more like staying near a fair or a busy market than at a resort meant for relaxation.
When we raised this concern with the property manager, he apologized but said the events were not happening within their property and that they could not do much about it. We requested a room further inside the property to avoid the disturbance, but this was also denied, citing no availability. The loud music and firecrackers continued until around 10:30 pm, completely ruining the peaceful stay we were expecting.
Overall, we were not happy with our stay. Considering the poor maintenance, noise disturbance, and average service, the property is definitely not value for money. We expected a lot more from a resort of this reputation.
