From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was warm, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. The room was elegant, spotless, and offered stunning views, making the stay feel extra special. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their attention to detail made my birthday celebration even more memorable. The food was exceptional, with a great variety and excellent quality. The hotel’s ambience, luxurious facilities, and iconic location near the Gateway of India created the perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Property is beautiful. Food is good too. Service was average at the tower compared to the palace. Light show at the pool is nice. Breakfast buffet was very nice. They even gave us a few muffins and donuts to go. The MMT voucher was a nice touch as things are a bit expensive.

Overall, my experience was very good, The staff truly made the stay memorable. My check-in experience was seamless, warm, and absolutely first-class. Every team member I interacted with—from the reception and security staff to room service and the lift attendant—was courteous, professional, and genuinely helpful. The food was decent, though I felt the breakfast spread could have offered a few more options. A special mention to the gentleman at the reception who assisted me during both check-in and check-out. He was outstanding—professional, efficient, and incredibly welcoming. His exceptional service left a lasting impression and perfectly reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest experience.

However, Prerna completely turned the experience around with her exceptional hospitality and genuine care for guests. She graciously upgraded our room at no additional cost and also surprised us with an upgraded breakfast experience at the Sea Lounge, which was absolutely delightful. To make the celebration even more special, the team beautifully decorated our room and presented us with a delicious birthday cake. These thoughtful gestures made us feel genuinely valued and transformed what had started as a disappointing experience into a birthday celebration we’ll always cherish. The Taj Mahal Palace is renowned for its legendary hospitality, and thanks to Prerna and the wonderful team, we experienced exactly that. I was quite disappointed with the breakfast experience. The menu was exactly the same on the following day, which is not something I would expect from a luxury property. The variety and quality of the food did not meet expectations. Additionally, there were no safety tubes for children at the 5 ft swimming pool, which was concerning. If I compare this with similar luxury properties like Westin or Marriott, they offer much tastier food, greater breakfast variety, and plenty of activities for kids, including dedicated children's swimming pools with appropriate safety equipment.
