The biggest issue is the power back up. Every night the power was off and also back up power was turned off nearly 11.30 p.m to 12.00 a.m. As a result the blanket heating, warming water in the extreme cold & humid days of rain, geyser, etc. were off. At midnight, had to go to toilet using a torch. The power usually was restored around 7.30 a.m in the morning. Till then we had to idle. Phone lines were diring power cut. Manager gave his number but phone was turned off.
Kitchen was empty most of the time. They served only breakfast and that too took long. Since lunch and dinner were not served, we had to go out in search of food. This assistance of food availability with tie ups with some restaurants was also missing.
The water connection was off for some time as the tank was empty and no one was there to look after this.
No room heater was there.
The toilet of one room had a connecting window to adjacent room's toilet. So privacy not guaranteed!
Only got a view from the room we stayed was good.
So in totality this hotel cannot be recommended, unless there is lesser option left in Darjeeling due to rush.
