We stayed here for two nights and overall had a good experience. The property is clean and offers beautiful views. Renovation work was going on during our stay, but it was nice to see that they’re actively maintaining the place.
A few things could be improved: the window lock in our room was broken, and the door lock was quite hard to operate. The air conditioner was very loud, and the fan regulator didn’t work properly. Apart from these issues, the room and bathroom were clean, and all the amenities listed on MakeMyTrip were provided.
I’d recommend booking the Sky Suite if you want to enjoy the mountain views, it’s definitely worth it. The garden suite and jungle/mountain view rooms felt a bit pricey for what they offered, but the overall experience was still comfortable. The surroundings are very quiet and scenic.
One important note: Google Maps suggests a route through “Take” village, which is extremely narrow and feels like you’re going the wrong way. Instead, it’s much better to enter from the Igatpuri city side and take the road next to the Sugar Vihar gate.
There isn’t much to do nearby during the off-season, but the resort itself has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities - indoor games, board games, cards, and outdoor cycling. There are also great photo spots. It would be wonderful if they could arrange wood for a bonfire, which would really elevate the experience.
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food at the restaurant was delicious and fresh, both breakfast and dinner were excellent and probably the best you can get in that area.
Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. I would recommend it!
