Review Of Hotel The Great Ganga

It was an average stay. When I asked them directly about the premium room, they told me I have to pay 9000 plus taxes. Then I went to MakeMyTrip and booked a deluxe room with breakfast for three persons and changed to a premium room. I gave them cash, but they refused to take online. Everything was average; the breakfast buffet was not good.

The Great Ganga is a decent property with great amenities. The rooms have a Ganga view and the property is pretty close to the Ganga ghat. For winters, the rooms are equipped with an all-weather AC, which can make the nights very comfortable. That being said, the quality of food being served in the in-house restaurant could very well be improved. We were traveling in a family group and most of us fell ill after eating the dinner served at the hotel.

It was perfect with very cooperative and attentive staff ..not to forget the delicious food they served.

Food was really yummy... property room balcony faces towards Ganga which gives awesome feeling... loved to sit there... staff was very kind and helpful... one can watch Parmarth Niketan from the terrace... overall experience was good... and hotel is at hill stairs thus, gave facility of e rikshaw for up and down which makes stay very comfortable... one can take stairs from 50 MTRS from hotel... to walk at Marine drive of Rishikesh towards Janki setu...

Excellent stay and food! Comfortable rooms and good view of the river. Always a delight to stay here. Would appreciate if there are two autos, instead of one, for the commute from the reception to the main road.

The stay at the hotel The Great Ganga was pleasant. Scenic view of the Ganga from the room, great food, and hospitality of staff really made our stay memorable.

Great location with view of Janaki Setu and sunrise. Courteous staff. Nice breakfast. Place for driver to stay which was a pleasant add on.

Got to know about this hotel from a colleague. The hotel's location was easy to find. The room was neat and organized, with a balcony. The balcony offered a beautiful view of the Ganga. Upon our arrival we were served coffee and the dinner we ordered was nice. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was also delicious. Overall experience was amazing.

Hotel is very near to Ram jhula, shuttle is provided by hotel to reach main road. Staff is well behaved. Rooms are well maintained, spacious and clean.

The is inarguably one of the best places to stay, giving a luxurious stay in a price which is worth every penny. The rooms are spacious, have a great view and the best part is the food at their restaurant. Please try that. The restaurant has a great Ganga view as well. The location is top notch, the staff is gracious and the hospitality is impeccable.

Service is amazing, property is located centrally very close to Ram Jhula and Janki Jhula. You can see Ganga Aarti from the hotel as Parmarth Niketan is opposite to the rooms.

The views from the hotel are good, we had ordered rice and dal which was good but breakfast was quite average with many things you should expect. The USB of this hotel is its location which is just right on the Ganga shore across the road. Overall it was a good experience.

Great Ganga is actually a great hotel for family. Direct view of the Holy River with easy access to ghat. Indian food tastes really awesome. Staff is very courteous. The best part is free shuttle to go up and down. Overall, it is an excellent choice if you want to stay near Ganga.

Hotel has no lift. Had to walk down two floors. Had severe ankle pain but they didn't care. the receptionist reply was rude and inhumane. The view was good. Room was good. The breakfast was not in buffet. We had some breakfast and went for dip in Ganga. when we came back they denied to give 1 sandwich, saying you can eat only once. we should have been informed. had to leave with half full stomach.

I stayed for 3 nights with my family, the location is good and near to places like Janki and Ram Jhula with one of the aarthi places also near the hotel. The hotel's restaurant is very good with a great food variety and very fast service. Staff behaviour is very good and welcoming

The location is peaceful and accessible by main road. We also used the in-house spa which was good Quality and variety of food is great They arranged wedding cake at extra cost

We had a wonderful experience at hotel the great Ganga, the property is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful ambience and a stunning view of the Ganga right from the room. The food was delicious and felt homely, which is a big plus when traveling with a baby. The amenities were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully arranged for families. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rishikesh with family.

Stay was comfortable but not quite Ganga view as claimed by the hotel management. Breakfast was average though dinner was good. Good location.

The location is very close to River Ganga and is walkable. The evening Arti at Parmarth Niketan can be heard and seen sitting on the bank of Ganga at Maggie Point which makes the evening very enchanting.Overall very good experience with regards to food and stay.

Below Average Experience. Basic things were missing. Like I requested for green tea they denied. Also staff behaviour was not that much good. In breakfast only 3-4 options were there and that too was of bad quality. According to price it is not value for money hotel
