Review Of Chariot Beach Resort

1. Swimming pool shut down and not intimated 2. ⁠Bathroom faucets not available and fixed post check in 3. ⁠Rooms are very old and poor maintenance 4. ⁠Fresh sealed water bottles not kept. Only filled water issued 5. Room screens were not fully closing

The swimming pool was under maintenance. The resort receptionist informed us the swimming pool will be operational from evening 7 pm on 27 June 2026. But the swimming pool was filled with unfiltered water and informed that it won't be available for use till 28th June morning 11 am. Travelled 3 hrs from Chennai to Mahabalipuram only to take up extra stress. Chariot resort management which there is no proper response. Feeling stressed and irritated disturbed my inner peace and serenity. There was no transparency from the resort people.

Overall the cleanliness was poor, especially in the restaurant. Kids activity area was also very poorly kept and was unclean.

excellent stay polite and helpful staff. but food is pricey I booked executive room but due to room unavailability they upgraded our stay to ocean view room with same price no additional charge

Not clean. Service poor. Swimming pool was not clean. Property needs to be maintained properly. Food quality also needs to improve.

the property is good and quite big. has a private beach. staff was polite and courteous. food was good

The rooms were not clean, damaged floor tiles and dirty bathrooms, poor hygiene. Swimming pool with damaged tiles and no other facilities is in working condition (activities) and overall a very poor unpleasant stay for my family. NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Check in time should be at least 2 PM. Check in at 3 it feels like the day is already over. Need more people at the reception. The security was giving welcome drinks to some. Many were complaining and asked for at least water. Very cold reception staff. Outside shower was closed and no reason was given. Back door was full of termites. Restaurant was average. Looks like staff are stressed due to understaffing. 2 shuttle cars had only one driver. Positives- great ambience, rooms. Spacious.

Rooms are very old, no proper checkin process, no valet parking, room service no response and slow.

We have booked two triple room with extra bed. Till 11pm didn’t receive the bed and we and we went to reception to complaint then arrange 1 room only. My concern is you should place extra bed in advance since we paid for it and why we need to hunting on it. It’s like a lodge not 4 Star rated. Other thing is one room corridor AC not working another room corridor light is not working and even made a complaint but nothing happened.
