    Location of the resort is too good and it's one of the best they can ever have, but the maintenance of the property is poor. There is no one to listen to your complaints and the swimming pool was not clean and the tiles inside the swimming pool were coming out, and we got hurt one or twice with one of these tiles we had to request for the swimming pool to be cleaned for the in room tub was dirty. There is no maintenance for AC because it was not going below 21°C and it was a little bit hot later on in the night. The property place is too good. There are not many options in food. It's better that we have shacks around the resort at least some kind of good food we can expect there, but the hygiene was also not good overall value for money. They charge too much and give too little. The phone in the room was also not working, so there is no way to convey to any reception what we need because our room was too far away from the reception. There was no tea or coffee maker available in the room. Overall, only to speak, the location is good, but the resort maintenance is lacking. The people charge too high but give too little.

    Poor Stay

    Our stay at Azaya Beach Resort Goa was extremely disappointing and far from what one would expect from a 5-star property. We had booked a Superior Room Villa with a Private Pool including breakfast and dinner, expecting a premium experience. However, the issues started right from the first evening. Upon arrival we were informed that there was no buffet dinner available, which is quite surprising for a 5-star resort. We therefore ordered food through in-room dining. Unfortunately, the Dal Makhani and the vegetable curry sent to our room had a foul smell and were clearly spoiled. We immediately called the restaurant and questioned whether the chef even checks the food before sending it to guests. The following morning the breakfast was merely average, with very limited variety compared to other 5-star resorts. Later, when we requested fresh milk in the room to feed our baby, the milk that arrived was already curdling, which raised serious concerns about the quality and hygiene of the kitchen. After these experiences, we completely lost confidence in the resort’s food quality and had to rely on outside food delivery for the remainder of our stay. The accommodation standards were equally disappointing. The bedsheet in the room was torn and visibly worn out, which is unacceptable for a property claiming to be 5-star. The main reason we booked this villa was for the private pool, but even that turned out to be poorly maintained. Pool tiles were coming loose from inside, making it unsafe to swim or play. Overall, the experience was pathetic and nowhere close to 5-star hospitality. While the property is large and connected to the beach, it clearly lacks proper maintenance, adequate staff, and professional hospitality management. I would not recommend this resort to anyone expecting a genuine 5-star experience.

    Excellent Stay

    Had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was extremely courteous and always ready to help, making the entire experience smooth and pleasant. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the food was delicious with good variety.     Terrible Stay

    No hot water working. Could not use bathtub. No restaurant at beach . So could not use any facilities. Just anyhow stayed. Asked for extra amount for my 6 years old daughter though I didn’t pay. Dirty pool side. No maintenance at all

    Avoid This Place – False Advertising & Poor Maintenance Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ I specifically booked a premium room with a private sit-out, but was downgraded to a basic balcony room against my wishes. The entire property is dilapidated and worn out. The "luxury" amenities were a total sham: Safety Hazard: The swimming pool was filthy with broken tiles on the floor that cut into your feet. Unusable Bath: The bathtub water was thick with mud. Staff dismissed my complaint, claiming it would clear up—it never did. False Promises: The promised "free mini-bar" (including beer) and cookie platter were non-existent; the fridge was completely empty. Zero Service: The resort is severely understaffed. The reception was completely empty at night, leaving us with no way to get assistance. This resort is a shadow of its photos. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

    Do Not Visit!

    Pathetic experience! We were always afraid after seeing the latest reviews mentioning horrible conditions of services and rooms, but had to go ahead because we booked in advance and half of our family had non refundable booking. 1. Before coming to azaya- no response by reception to any of our queries, they keep on juggling it to one another. 2. On reaching azaya- no proper reception, or waiting area while awaiting our rooms to get ready! No explanation about any facilities in the resort. 3. On seeing our room- patio king bed- Patio is good for nothing, a poorly kept space with a non functional bathtub, chair and table not clean. Doorbell, room switches not functional. Bathroom is attached such that when you take bath, the room gets flooded with water. Washbasin was clogged. Fan speed was not changeable with the regulator. The kettle and fridge were not working. Worst part, when we faced too much cooling by AC at around 12.30 AM, and tried calling the reception around 5 times, they didn't even pick up the call! There was no response to other mentioned issues as well! 4. Food services- it was not mentioned while booking that lunch is ala carte with limited food options, and even in breakfast, when being asked to bring fresh tea/coffee, we were denied, mentioning that coffee is not in menu (even on payment) and tea can't be made fresh! 5. Pool- water was dirty, and there was smell around the pool, which made it difficult to even stand around the pool area! 6. Only fine thing was private beach access, which was OK. Again, issue was that beach towels were not given!!

    The property was spacious. The menu in the breakfast buffet was also average. They were not very very well organised. We had booked in a group for three rooms. They had accepted the booking, but when we reach there, we were not giving the rooms which we were offered approximately two hours were wasted. Just waiting there in the lobby after that, the rooms which we were offered in one room, the pool was really dirty. We had to remind them so many times to clean it. In the other room, the shower was not working. The AC was faulty. The electricity was faulty Overall, the experience was not a good one did not expect this hospitality.

    Poor experience. Mismanaged Property

    We were with family. Booked premium pool villa for 3 nights When checked in on 30th December a girl from reception came with us to show the villa. She didn’t had courtesy to tell us about room details n left in a minute. On checking pool area we found it to be total dark ie no lights at all working. We informed reception n MMT help line too but till we left on 2nd Jan it was not functional. Only 2 tea bags were kept with kettle as no proper HK was done. Adding to misery we were informed that no gala dinner on 31st night is at property. Next day during BF we met GM at restaurant n briefed him about ment was made. Again on 1st Jan while leaving room at 3pm we told personally to Mr Souvik Head of HK as he was standing near our villa to do HK of the room. When we reached back to room at 9pm we found room in same messed conditions as we left. Then we were offered 15% discount on F&B . But was not applied on our bill while check out. After lot of argument they did it. Worst ever experience.

    Poorly maintained property. Many things were broken / non functional in the room. Wash basin had a leakage, room lock was not working properly, and the bathroom were just about okay. Tap water quality was very poor and so was swimming pool water. Dinner food quality was excellent, but breakfast was very disappointing. It was as if being served by two different entities. Overall not at all a great experience and considering the price point, it is worth skipping.

    Hi. Firstly, we had 3 day booking at Azaya. On arrival, we didn’t get the room we booked. Rather a downgrade room was given. When we asked why we are not given the room we booked, manager said they have given it to somebody else. As it was late night, we had to adjust in the same room which was in poor condition. Next day once we raise concerns , That when the Manager gave us upgraded room. About the property. Positives : huge property right at the beach. Location ambience. Negatives: property is poorly maintained, intercom didn’t work in our room . It was difficult to order or put any request. Breakfast spread is limited and dining area too small for so many guest. Long queue for food. Quality is ok. Swimming pool is for kids as it barely 3feet deep all across. Most of all, prices are too high for such average services.

    Even though the property is at a great spot and well made, the overall experience was not so good. Specially the rooms were really in a poor state when handed over. There were hairs on the carpet, uncleaned corners. Service was also pretty average. Simple tea came in room after 1.30 hours. Once had to wait for drinking water for over 5 hours. Understaffed but polite. Breakfast was also pretty okay. Property has the beach accessible so that's a plus.

    The allotted room was different then booked room, when I complaint they changed next day.later i extend the room for same category and informed them.They asked me to shift to another room. The other room was pathetic and had below problems 1 phone is not working. 2 Doorbell is not working. 3 Old fan in 5 star hotel. 4 Ugly tv case in 5 star hotel. 5 Broken tiles. 6 Broken bathroom door glass 7 Ugly mirror in 5 star hotel. After heated discussion, they changed the room at night. I have already log the complaint with make my trip but no reply

    Terrible Stay

    The hotel has an excellent location, right on Benaulim Beach, but beyond that, nothing about the property works. They don’t even maintain a proper reception—just a small IT room that doubles as the reception area. There are no welcome drinks, no orientation, and no one to explain the property layout, restaurants, bars, or facilities. The room design is extremely odd. There are no hooks in the bathroom, the toilet jet spray is dangerously powerful with no way to control or reduce the pressure, and the bathtub is placed on the balcony, fully visible from surrounding rooms—completely bizarre and uncomfortable. Staff service is below par. You need to follow up repeatedly, and even then many things simply don’t get done. Room service and housekeeping are consistently delayed and inefficient. At one point, the housekeeping staff informed me that they didn’t have sugar or tea sachets to replenish the room—unacceptable for a so-called premium property. Breakfast was another daily struggle. The options were limited, food quality was poor, and the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Items were frequently not refilled, crockery was missing, and orders were extremely delayed. Overall, this property is one to avoid. Despite positioning itself as a premium hotel, even mid-tier hotels offer far better service, management, and guest experience.
