This is the 4th time I stayed in this resort in last 20 years, it’s always been a wonderful experience, staff is really friendly and prompt in meeting all your needs . Excellent view and a kind of private beach exclusively for you…! All three restaurants in this property are well equipped to meet different kind of food experiences…..! Chilly sauce Crab was awesome…!

Ma-yang sari is one of the best beach resorts. We booked a sea facing cottage. You wake up to the sea. Its total offbeat location loads of greenery, tall trees, serene water n peace. It's a burders paradise not to forget. Great food, esp kelong seafood restaurant, must visit. Friendly staff and very planned logistics. Overall it was worth 3 days that we spent. Submitted. I stayed in the property for 2 nights. Pros: 1. View from ma-yang sari sea view suites were amazing. 2. They also have an indian restaurant (spice. Cons: 1. Only two 600ml water bottles were provided for one day of your stay. Any extra water bottles are charged at the rate of 25k id r for 600ml and 60k id r for 1. 5litre bottle. 2. Wifi at ma-yang sari was extremely slow. 3. Toiletries were not at all upto the 5 star standards. 4. Indian restaurant at the property needs a lot of improvement in taste of the food. Sometimes, items were not fresh and i have heard other people were also saying the same thing. 5. Ma-yang sari does not have the pool. You need to take a free shuttle to their another property nirwana resorts to enjoy the pool. 6. No shuttle bus to lag-oi bay. I have stayed in different properties in bin-tan and they provided complimentary shuttles to that place. Here you need taxi and it is also expensive. 7. This is a secluded property and you need to hire a taxi to move around. 8. Food here is very expensive. Even expensive than singapore. I ordered pizza and the pizza was not even worth remembering. 9. Service needs a lot of improvement. Even 4 star hotels in india provide way better service than this property. 10. They also take security deposit from the credit card. They take the security deposit by manually noting down the credit card details. ( isn't this is fishy? ) 11. They only give 1 key card, which doesn't even have hotel branding on it. Make sure you return that plain key card or otherwise they will ask you for it at the time of checkout. 12. They shut down the lights at the property at 11pm. It will be pitch dark outside with the sound of waves. It doesn't feel so safe with any reptile might be roaming around at night. Other things observed- beach was dirty due to monsoon and the high currents. They usually clean the beach twice in a day but it gets dirty again in no time. Beach was full of plastics, drums, bottles, sea weeds etc. Singapore & indonesia should stop using single use plastics and save the marine life.

Indoor sports and water activities are only open from 10-4 pm. Secondly, the spa is a waste of money. Thirdly service is heavily charged. One 1.5 liter costs huge.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the resort. We would be willing to recommend it to anyone visiting Bintan, Indonesia. The location is perfect for a gateway to nature, right at the edge of the sea. The resort is eqipped with variety of facilities such as activity centers, beach club, and shuttle buses. etc. The restaurants are top notch. Finally and most importantly service was impeccable with extremly cordial staff.
