The hotel location and amenities are definitely good; however, I am very disappointed with how the service went. First, regarding the valet parking: one of my friends requested assistance to have his car parked, but the staff member standing in front of the hotel told him to do it himself, even though my friend explained that he couldn’t drive anymore. We all noticed that the staff member was being very attentive to other guests, which made the experience feel unfair. Second, the waiting period: I booked through the MMT app, and upon check-in, the duty manager informed me that it was a last-minute booking and that we would have to wait because the hotel had “negative rooms” available. No assurance or estimated waiting time was given. We were tired and just wanted to rest, so we waited. While waiting, I checked the MMT app again and was surprised to see that the hotel was still showing as available, even though we were told it was full. Third, one of the rooms given to us was not properly cleaned, despite us having waited almost an hour to check in. I appreciate that we were offered a late check-out as compensation after we complained, but overall, things could have been handled much better.

Unacceptable Service Standards at a Luxury Hotel

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza and unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations one would typically have from a reputed 5-star hotel. Firstly, the housekeeping service was quite poor. The room was not cleaned properly, and shockingly, a toothpick was left on the mat which ended up injuring my foot. Additionally, basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner bottles were not refilled, which reflects a lack of attention to detail. Another major issue was regarding my lost AirPods. I had accidentally left them in the buffet area and immediately informed the in-charge. However, he made no effort to help me. It was only after I reached the reception and showed them the AirPods’ location through my iPhone — clearly indicating it was still within the hotel — that they took the matter seriously. Eventually, it was found with a hotel staff member, which was very disappointing. I also requested peeled fruits, which were not provided. After that, I had to call three times just to get a knife and a plate, and even that took over 6 hours to be delivered to my room. Overall, I had a very unpleasant experience. These are not the standards one expects from a 5-star hotel like Crowne Plaza. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service quality.

The check-in took very long and finally room was given after 20mins. The room was good, except water was leaking from the overhead speaker in. The bathroom. Hot water was a blessing after a long day with good shower force too. Breakfast had a decent spread and was tasty.
