Nirvana Lodge felt like home in the Himalayas. The owner and his family were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The food was fresh, homely, and comforting after a day of exploring Paro. A perfect blend of hospitality, cozy vibes, and stunning views- highly recommend!

A Home Away from Home – Unforgettable Stay at Nirvana Lodge, Paro Our stay at Nirvana Lodge in Paro was nothing short of exceptional. Tucked away in a peaceful location surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with peach and apple trees, this lodge offers a serene escape with a truly homely vibe. What made our experience truly unforgettable was the incredible hospitality. Uncle Icharam, the heart of the lodge, is not only a warm and welcoming care taker at the lodge but also an amazing cook. The Indian food he prepared was authentic, full of flavor, and honestly better than anything we found in restaurants across Bhutan. Every meal felt like a comforting taste of home. We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to Aita, a kind and attentive girl who looked after all our needs with a smile. Her dedication made us feel completely taken care of throughout our stay. This place isn’t just about comfort—it’s about connection. If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like family and can enjoy peaceful surroundings with delicious food, Nirvana Lodge is the perfect choice. We’d love to visit again, and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Paro

The stay was comfortable and nice. The property is a big one with a large garden full of beautiful flowers. It is also kid friendly with some seats and a swing. The chef/ caretaker ichcha ram consulted before preparing the meals. The lodge is situated in a very scenic spot not far away from the main paro city and birdsong and insect noises are all one wakes up to. Magnificent views !

everything was amazing right from the word go. The hospitality and cuisine were top drawer stuff. The host took time to drop and pick me up at the inaugural ceremony of the first royal Bhutan festival amidst heavy rains. looking forward to visit again. recommend strongly for any first time visitors and I am sure who will automatically make this venue a permanent one.

Chef cum caretaker was good. Overall homely feeling. View from property good, but 1. Food can be less oily 2. At-least fan should be provided in rooms 3. Mosquito repellent should be provided 4. 1 water bottle was provided at check-in but on the second day, even water was charged.

Extremely polite and courteous people managing the property. A delightful place in the backdrop of a scenic location, amidst an orchard and close to tiger's nest. A bit far from the Paro Town, and that's the charm about it (don't worry, frequent shared taxi available during daytime). Room had all functional amenities, and service was prompt and personalized. Best hospitality I have ever seen!

The property is good but not well maintained it needs good cleaning. It was smelly in the entrance lobby and dining room. Little attention to ventilation or lighting up some traditional Bhutanese incense sticks may address this problem. It was very cold during dinner. Fireplace/chimney was not lit with the argument that there are not enough guests. The staff insisted on delivering the food in the room. They asked us to talk to owner if the fire needs to be lit up. There were enough fire woods. One side of the room heater was sealed. It was opened after persuading the staff. Balcony attached to the room was not clean. There were left over cigarette butts lying in the corners of balcony which should not take much effort to be cleaned. The staff may be more presentable. Among good things, one staff helped us to book a taxi for the early morning flight. The lobby has a good book shelf and decor (I did not feel like staying Long there as it was cold and smelly) It is a good from price perspective. To conclude, this is a good property. However it needs more attention to presentation, cleanliness and the basic/general comfort of the guests.

This home-stay is a traditional Bhutanese home with wooden architecture situated 2-3 KM from Paro town. The place is a bit difficult to locate but near to tiger nest treaking point. We faced some issues with hot water but staff were very polite and helpful. Food is a bit costly as it's not centrally located. Breakfast was simple.

The place is very pretty in the morning. The rooms have basic requirements and are not too flashy but are at the same time extremely comfortable and cozy. The staff is very warm and helpful.

The place is located a bit far from the main City close to tiger's nest Stayed their for one night before our hike to the nest. Room was quite spacious and clean. Room heater was less efficient though

The room heater doesn't work at all. The quality of the heater should be improved. Otherwise it was really good.

Due to permit constraints could not make full use of our stay at Nirvana. Whatever little time we spent there was blissful.

Food was awesome. Staffs were polite and helpful.

All the basic amenities are present electric kettle etc. Restaurant was a bit expensive but the service is very prompt. They even had sandwiches ready for us at 6 am for our tigers nest trek. I would recommend it for the price and cleanliness.

Good location, poor road, rooms average without cabinets for material storage. Food just average without any choice. Good for travelers for backpackers and trekkers. Can improve facility for such a beautiful location.

A home-stay with beautiful orchard around, good food, friendly staff and clean and spacious rooms. A home away from home.

We loved our stay at Nirvana, the staff was very warm and hospitable. The location is very peaceful and serene and the food was wonderful. We were a group of friends in Bhutan and had an amazing stay here! Thanks Nirvana and Jigme!
