This charming property boasts a fantastic central location, making it super easy to explore key attractions like the Anne Frank House and Dam Square. Guests appreciate the friendly staff who are always ready to help, including carrying luggage up the steep stairs. A cozy breakfast featuring fresh croissants is included, adding great value to the stay. The property has a unique character, perfect for travelers looking for something different.
Great place to stay.
Great place to stay right in the middle of all attractions. Value for money. Good eating place nearby. Very near good shopping malls. Close to red light district. Rooms are bit small and cramped but OK. Will stay again.

Definitely not recommended for romantic getaway
I was on a trip with my 18 year old niece. The room is too small and the bathroom even tinier. Almost like a hotel in Tokyo. Me being barely 5 ft found it difficult to take a shower. There was no space to open both suitcases in the room. If we wanted to open one the other had to be packed up. That said the room and bathroom were clean. There is no elevator in the building, stairs are very steep... But the hotel staff were very helpful in lugging our large bags over the stairs. Breakfast is very basic... There wasn't even a toaster to toast the bread and the butter was very "hard", coffee was very weak.

Great hosts, average setup
Disclaimer: Amsterdam is a pretty expensive and small place. I guess, hotels also tend to follow the same pattern. Location: Nadia is located close to the Dam square but a 10-15 min walk from most of the other places [Central station, museums, etc]. I would rate the location good, which is part of the reason why I chose this hotel in the first place. It's located on a main road, but isn't exactly noisy because of the higher floors. The hotel itself is ultra compact right from the staircase that leads up 2 floors to the reception, then the reception area and finally the rooms themselves. One normal hotel room anywhere else seems to be made into 2 rooms, so you can imagine how congested things can get. You walk into the room, and there's 2 compact beds with hardly any space around them. All items [coffee maker, TV, safe, etc] are placed on a shelf mounted above the beds, such is the lack of space. The bathroom is even more compact, with the commodes places unusually high even for a 6 footer like me. All in all, the rooms are functional and equipped, but neither anesthetic nor ergonomic. The breakfast was quite a let down. It basically consisted of mostly supermarket stuff- sliced bread, cheese, marmalade, slice cake, croissants, yoghurt & juice. The coffee was about the only thing they made there. Eggs or cold cuts or sausages would have been the minimum expectations. All this would've been okay, if the hotel was priced accordingly. But the price is too high for such rooms. If this is the norm in Amsterdam, then it would be well worth your money to stay a little further out and buy a day bus/tram pass. At least you'll sleep comfortably. The redeeming factor is the hosts. All of them are such wonderful people, make you feel completely at home. They are the only reason that Nadia gets 3 stars from me.

Experience of living in a typical dutch building
The location itself is par excellence as the famous dam square which is right in city centre, the buzzing place for all activity. The receptionist / owners were very kind and receptive to our requirements with luggage and queries on travel and tourism. The room itself was neat and pretty cute with three little red beds in it :)
Room: Standard room, 1 double bed
Good Stay
The people were very helpful. The place is about 10 minutes walk from the central station in Amsterdam. The place is very basic but we just needed a place to crash anyway. The breakfast served was good. Only issue was the steep stairs. They had people to take the luggage to the room but we still had to climb steep stairs to the room. Overall a good experience staying there.
