    Poor rooms with no door on toilet/washroom

    The only good thing about this property is the location - it is 5-10 min walking distance from the beach. Otherwise, the maintenance of the property is very poor. We had booked 2 rooms 2 months in advance with full payment but were given rooms on separate floors. The room on the ground floor appeared like a makeshift room created from extra space left from the spa. The stone flooring was rough, the washroom/toilet had no door and lights were too dim. Also the bathroom window was transparent and anyone outside had a full view. The second room’s washroom had a door but the bathroom glass barely had a film. Wonder what ideas of personal space and privacy the hotel owners have. Also both rooms needed pest control as they had spiders, mosquitos and even a cockroach. When we complained about the rooms to the owner at the getgo, we were offered to be moved to a homestay kind of property behind the hotel as apparently all rooms were sold out! we refused to move to a substandard property with a cheaper pricepoint as we had paid in advance for the hotel. Further, during checkout, we were wrongly billed for 4 pots of tea while we had ordered 4 cups of tea. Thankfully the owner understood the issue and refunded the amount. The breakfast spread was good. Overall a bad and tiring experience. Would not recommend.
