Review Summary
Powered by Myra.AI
This property shines with its fantastic location, just a 12-minute walk from Shinjuku station, making it perfect for exploring Tokyo's lively entertainment spots. Guests appreciate the clean, compact rooms and stylish design. The helpful English-speaking staff and daily linen changes add to the experience. While breakfast could use a bit more variety, the rooftop bar offers stunning views of the skyline.
Excellent Stay
12mins walk from Shinjuku station Rooms are nice and clean and vast variety of options in the breakfast
Room: Economy Double, Non Smoking
The location is the best part other nothing special
Good things first, it's in a very central location specially for people who want to be close to all the entertainment & action (Shinjuku, Kabukicho, Love district etc.). The rooms are small as expected but quite compact. Food is very average (bread, jam, eggs, sausage, ham etc.) as that's not what the hotel boasts off. Reception staff is very prompt & helpful. A very functional hotel specially for business travelers who do not demand much and need a place to just crash. Nothing much to write about,

Location is the best part
The best thing about this place is the location, otherwise everything quite average and not much to write. Rooms are small as expected in Japan and the amenities quite average. The breakfast needs improvement too, need to add more vegetarian & vegan items. The only other good thing is an English speaking staff who is quite helpful.
Room: Superior Hollywood Twin, Non-smoking
Good Stay
I recently stayed at Hotel Granbell Shinjuku, and overall, it was a very positive experience. The property is modern, clean, and located in a vibrant area—perfect for both first-time visitors and returning travelers who want to explore the heart of Tokyo. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a stylish, minimalist design that made good use of the space. While the rooms in Tokyo are generally compact (which is expected), I found them cozy and comfortable with all the necessary amenities provided. The bathroom was spotless, and I appreciated the high-quality toiletries. Location-wise, the hotel is in a prime spot—within walking distance of the bustling Shinjuku station, restaurants, shopping centers, and nightlife options. Despite being close to the action, the hotel itself is in a quieter part of the district so you can get a peaceful night’s sleep. The staff were polite, professional, and helpful, which added positively to the overall stay. Though some reviews mention the check-in process could be a bit smoother or more flexible, I personally had no issues. One standout feature is the rooftop bar, which offers a fantastic view of the Tokyo skyline—great for winding down in the evenings. In summary, Hotel Granbell Shinjuku is a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, stylish, and well-located base while exploring Tokyo. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

Average Stay
Walking distance from SHINJUKU Higari station. It’s a no frills hotel. Clean. They change linen. Everyday. Small rooms. Surrounded by love hotels and it’s right in the middle of the so called entertainment district of Tokyo. The restaurant is a disappointment. So if you are an Indian and you are used to the kind of spreads we have in India then you will be disappointed big time. The bar on the top has a great view and their pizza is super. Mixed crowd when it comes to residents. Some good some bad and some real horrible. Haven’t seen these many tattoos per square inch anywhere in the world. I wouldn’t mind staying there alone but if you are travelling with children or family then I would not recommend it. Not unpleasant but leaves a lot to be desired.
Room: Standard Hollywood Twin, Non-smoking

Good Stay
Property location is good, food was good for breakfast as we are vegetarian so limited option was there, we didn't try any other meal so can't comment on that. Services was also good. Only issue we faced was room size as mmt was not giving option to select various category of rooms so we booked whatever it was showing and it was lowest category of economic room which wasn't comfortable for two people. Thanks
Room: Economy Double, Non Smoking

The stay was good, rooms were decent sized, staff knew english and were helpful. The breakfast is not so interesting. The serve the same fruits and juices every day. For vegetarians there is a slight issue. Location is great.
